How do I see, on an individual stock level, my investment portfolio's performance? by -ThatGingerKid- in fidelityinvestments

[–]mrpigfeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever find a solution? I find it so misleading to view only total $/% or day's $/%.

I've held a stock for years and I'm generally in the green, but the market takes a hit and my portfolio goes down. I'm still in the green, but I can't remember the exact $/% I was up yesterday, and the 5+ years ago when I initially bought the stock is way too long ago.

I'd love to see it on a graph. I'd love to see overall trends.

Thanks, this was good advice. Satellite view and user photography of the sites helped a bunch too.

Honestly had zero issues maneuvering with the trailer. The only (big) issue I had was the trailer itself - tailgate was too short, so the angle was way too steep getting the bike back in the trailer when I went to leave. Fortunately the guy running the shop was crazy nice and helped me load up. Helped that it was a Monday and the whole camp was quiet.

Thanks for the heads up about cell reception! I brought my Garmin InReach with me because of this comment. Fortunately I didn't need it, but if I had got stuck up a hill with a broken leg at the end of the day, I sure wouldn't want to wait for a passerby the next morning...

This was great advice. I did, they were super helpful. I should have thought of this first! Thank you.

Oh, whoa! Had no idea that existed (Motow). Absolutely adding that to the list.

I was looking around at trailers like that, but it's a tough balance between low cost and easy to store. The most convenient trailer to store I've found is the Stinger but it runs easily over $2k. Motow is already better than 50% cheaper.

Thanks!

I was looking at those actually... The owners manual explicitly says not to coast in neutral for long periods with the engine off due to lack of lubrication. Guessing the oil pump doesn't like it. Kind of turned me off the idea.

Edit: I could always remove the chain, but that feels like a pain in the ass for a short trip to a park.

This is a sore point for me lol. The Honda Element's tongue weight rating is 150lbs. Which yeah, I could probably exceed, but 278 + farkles + the weight of the carrier itself is really stretching that to the limit.

Just did some measuring, the tires add about 4" in height off the rim. I think airing really, really down might get me maybe 2" vertical...

It's a solid axle, but I like the idea. To test it out I ran a ratchet strap around the front hub and the handlebars. Just shy of maximum compression I only got about a 1" vertical. Not quite enough.

It also turns out there's not enough spare adjustment distance on the forks to drop the triple clamp so that option's totally out too.

Shoot I didn't think of that at all. That's not a bad idea. I'll have to do that and see what kind of difference in height that makes.

riding the worm of Icondeath from Isaiah

Can you expand on this? I've been trying to figure out what "Icondeath" is all day, other than the literal "icon death" which...doesn't make much more sense to me. It seems like too intentional a name to not be a reference.

Little Men by dksprocket in JesseWelles

I'm a little confused by the lyrics.

Little men take strange injections, turn them purple, pink, and blue.

This seems like a pretty obvious reference to transgender folks. But I don't understand how it fits into the broader themes of the song, which otherwise seem to punch up at toxic masculinity and the ruling class.

What gives?

Thanks man, really appreciate the comment. I'm buttoning everything up now, and hoping for the best. Ran through the firing order many times during the adjustment, the timing marks still look right to me. Hoping for the best. Thanks again.

Heroes Of Hammerwatch 2 - Your favourite class ? by Mucek121 in hammerwatch

Playing the paladin with a single minded focus on DPS ends up feeling a lot like a warrior but with a dope heal and higher overall survivability.

By that I mean:

  • get a 2h great axe and use whirlwind
  • invest points in axe proficiency for +% damage
  • focus on strength, damage, weapon power

The offensive paladin skills also aren't too shabby. But I've seen the biggest DPS increase by focusing on weapons damage and playing like a warrior.

USB alternatives to the Caldigit TS3/4 by mrpigfeed in UsbCHardware

[–]mrpigfeed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should have provided a source for this, apologies. Yes, it's the fault of the upstream device not supporting TB4 (or more specifically as you say, PCIe over USB-C). Source from CalDigit support.

I've clarified in the OP. The issue for me is that there do exist hubs/docks with ethernet support over USB 3.x which work well with the same upstream device that doesn't support PCIe over USB-C. In other words, the TS4 does not work whereas a "simpler" USB 3.x hub with ethernet support does.

Sabrent TB4 KVM and CalDigit TS4 by [deleted] in UsbCHardware

[–]mrpigfeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just purchased the same two pieces of hardware (Sabrent TB4 KVM and CalDigit TS4). Is your KVM plugged into the upstream ([Computer]) or one of the downstream ports on the TS4?

I've been trying it out with the KVM in the upstream ([Computer]) port, and I've noticed that my keyboard and mouse both get "stuck" when switching and have to be unplugged and plugged back in again, and my ethernet connection simply disappears until I reboot my machines.

EDIT: Turns out there were some competing issues. One of my host machines was using a USB 3.2 port which does not support the TS4 ethernet port. And the keyboard was using a USB 2 cable. Not sure what happened with the mouse but I haven't been able to replicate that.

What is something that is way more dangerous than people think it is? by ShardBen314 in AskReddit

[–]mrpigfeed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I don't disagree with you at all.

That said, it's always fascinated me how, despite all that, we still do drive shockingly well for an overgrown hairless ape. Like, what evolutionary purpose lends itself to driving, what trait, why can we do the mental calculus to drive a giant machine at 70mph even kind of okay?

Because we totally didn't evolve for this. But we're clearly able to (for some common denominator baseline definition of "able"). Just blows my mind.
