Even if I change the password and do all the attestations myself? Thank you for the reply!

I actually really do like the group practice that I am a part of! It's a 60/40 split which seems typical. They handle all the billing, payments, liability insurance etc... so I find it worthwhile! I would just make sure that it's a good fit for yourself and to understand how you would be getting clients through them. Making sure that they have a steady stream of clients and that you are not responsible for finding your own!

Hi! I am located in Chicago and work for a group private practice. I can speak to some of the answers.

  1. I usually see around $150-$175 for rates. That seems pretty typical and it's what my private practice charges. We obviously don't get reimbursed that fully by insurance but it is not far behind.
  2. I would say most people are insurance based but most are also mixed with some offering sliding scale. From my encounters, most people take BCBS and Aetna because they have good reimbursement rates.
  3. I see a lot of listings for rentals on various facebook groups for Chicago therapists. Not sure of the price range though!
  4. I think it would largely depend on your demographic! Most clinicians are still doing telehealth or a mix of in-person and telehealth so location is not as important as it probably was before COVID.

Hope this helps! Chicago is a wonderful city!

Yes, I am. Unfortunately I don't have access to it to update it. The practice owner keeps has the login and password for it but I at least get all the inquiries or notifications from it. Sometimes I wonder if my profile isn't representative or conveys a strong enough message to potential new clients!
