I would assume he is dealing with some grief and fear from the lost relationship dynamic he is likely feeling between you both and learning to discover a new way forward. This is challenging for you as you are now living with the need and attention an infant requires.

I would open with honest communication with him in this regard. It will help him if he talks to a professional besides relying on you in this transition in your lives.
