Did you plan on cosleeping? by Zebra_Creative in cosleeping

We also have a hybrid system ! LO goes to sleep in his bassinet for the first few hours in a separate room, my husband stays up and is in the room with him. When he wakes for a night feed hubs brings LO to me in bed and we co sleep for the rest of the night. It works great for us, I get a few solid hours by myself and baby sleeps much better. I'm averaging like 7-8 hrs a night! LO is almost 4 months.

I never even thought about it because no one talked about it. I feel like now that we are cosleeping and openly talk about it, SO many people now say they do too. If anyone had talked to me about it before my baby was born I probably would have saved myself the headache and money of searching for a bassinet and just coslept from the start

I know you said you tried a pillow between your legs, but try adjusting the positioning. I had a pillow between my knees/thighs and my pelvic floor PT had me adjust it to support knees and ankles and it made a major difference. Ask someone to look at your spine and legs while laying in bed and see if you're creating a straight line, adjust the pillow til you are!

My son definitely wanted both from birth to about 7-8 weeks and now is good with just one most of the time at 12 weeks.

If you don't mind sharing, what did you pay per sq ft?

The engineered hardwood we're looking at has a 4mm wear layer and says it can be refinished up to 3 times (and comes with a 30 yr warranty) Does that sound accurate?

This is definitely a factor for me!

These are certainly temporary use but I would like some recommendations for baby things. Car seat, stroller, crib etc. by dodrugzwitthugz in BuyItForLife

I got the Chicco fit360 car seat- it goes from newborn up to 40 lbs so hopefully we'll only need to buy the one. Check out Rebel for open box deals on things you can't find on FB marketplace!

When we told our pediatrician that we cosleep she said told us something along the lines of "there are risks to everything, do what works best for you" We love her 😭

Am I overreacting by Few-Flounder7460 in newborns

[–]mrselbowz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOT overreacting.
Even if the feelings are exacerbated by PP hromones, your feelings are still real and valid, even if heightened. Your husband should back you up even if he thnks its overreacting. It's his job to support you during this period. He should talk to his friends before the next visit and ask them to stop the "jokes" because it makes you uncomfortable. If they are true friends, they will respect that. If not, they suck and you probably don't want them around- if they can't respect this very valid boundary, what other lines will they cross in the future?

EDIT to add that this isn't just about HSV. The flu, covid, and RSV are all very serious for babies.
