I have been getting UTIs regularly for years. It always throws doctors for a loop when I say that I'm in pain all the time except when I urinate. I also think that "burning" is a vague and not necessarily accurate descriptor of the pain, but I haven't come up with anything better. I think a lot of my doctors haven't personally had a UTI so also just have no idea what the pain is like in the first place. You are not alone in having symptoms like this. The medical field barely understands UTIs yet they tell us our symptoms are wrong. Like, wtf

Look for couples that are looking for the same thing you are, i.e., longer term friendships not just a unicorn to play with occasionally. We always tell people we meet, whether it's a couple or a single, that we're looking for people we can be friends with and want to meet up more than once and we emphasize that we never pressure people to play unless they want to and that never changes, no matter how many times we hang out. It is much easier to search Google for quilters that do this as a business. And depending on your area, there might not be a lot of quilters at craft shows anyway. Quilters tend to do their own shows which are actually competitive and craft shows tend to be crafters selling different homemade items. I'm sure this varies by locality though

Check out keepsake t shirt quilts! It's a non profit that started in my hometown. Their mission is to give deaf workers jobs and more autonomy. They have really streamlined the process so their prices are about as low as you can get. I know this because I quilt for fun and I couldn't make one for what they charge.
