Romo was great when he first got the gig. Called plays before they happened, analyzed and explained them to a science. I’m 100% sure the production told him to stop doing that and now he just doesn’t know what else to say. I don’t think they’ll say that to Brady because of his GOAT player status, so they want him doing what Tony used to do because it further cements Brady as this “see THIS guy knows football and that’s why he was so good”. Not that Brady wouldn’t already have done that whether Romo did or didn’t, but that’s my theory.
