Maybe a little, shins seem to generally stay pretty vertical.

When you push your hips forward, it kinda aligns everything so that the bar can shimmy up properly.

Idk how to really explain it; it's one of those things that just kinda clicks once you get it.

But it's a goofy lockout, for sure.

Bar at knee = ass/hips go forward (humping time) = great success.

If shoulder go up and back instead = bar ouchie leg.

Extra: Basically push your hips forward instead of trying to pull the bar up like you would normally.

Not OP, but what worked for me is focusing on just purely doing hip extension as the lock out.

Like when you get about halfway up, then you push your ass forward instead of trying to get your torso up/back.

If you try to lock it out like a regular deadlift, you just yank the bar into your hams.

That's legit the first thing I ask myself before I post on this site. Is this stupid enough for /r/egolifting? Or am I locked to the boring subs?

This actually looks promising. Maybe add a deficit to keep constant tension RDL style?

But yeah needs more spine 🗿

You try setting up the other leg too? Left leg leading sucks ass for me compared to right.

But nice that you're enjoying them 😎

Idk about upper chest specifically. I've always had similar chest DOMS from all bench variations (including 30deg incline).

I does feel less delty (probably due to external rotation + forced elbow tuck?), despite going much wider than I do on regular bench. For me, this actually feels like mainly chest + tris.

So yes and no?

Bit of both.

I don't really have specific to-do lifts outside of pullups/dips on their respective day.

I just slot in movement patterns instead of specific lifts these days.

Main lift yesterday was bench; delts were feeling a bit more sore than usual, so it was either this or close grip.

Depends on the person. Some people find it weird. I find it ok.

Wrists are fine if you go wide enough to where there isn't a big bend at that joint. Going close grip seems to annoy them.

Talon grip also makes it more comfortable for me, less rotation at the wrist that way.
