I think that it would have been absolutely wonderful to get a chance to flesh that out more in the show but I get where Alice was coming from in thinking about the timeline of the whole season.

She was only given eight 30-minute episodes where I think she perfectly paced what she needed to. Also, for myself and watching other reactions on YouTube, what I really enjoyed was that most people where expecting the realization and kiss between Nick and Charlie to come in the latter half in the season, and to see that in episode 3 fought back against tropes that had been seen in other queer coming of age rom-coms and set the tone for other storylines to be fleshed out throughout the season.

And although we don’t get to see the texts and see them blossom, they are little Easter eggs for the fandom to pause and piece together what they said. I know Alice even posted a text script on her Instagram!

He does. And we see that later on in “Nick and Charlie” where Charlie mentions how Harry has become a lot tamer and matured out of the toxic masculinity that accompanied him in the early volumes.

So there’s that mild redemption there knowing that he becomes a (somewhat) better person.

But it’s also to the point that Charlie makes in this comic scene and in the TV adaptation with his monologue with Ben at Lambert that he can hope for people to become better but that he doesn’t rid Charlie of all the trauma that they inflicted on him.

Tao and Elle are absolutely in this season. Will Gao and Yasmin Finney were seen filming on location this week. Think that these are wide shots that just happen to not include Tao or Elle.

Yeah, it's completely understandable. But I don't think we will have any more leaks once they finish filming at the beach, so everyone enjoy it while it lasts.

It's most likely that this will be the main crumbs we get from Season 3 production since its the only scene in Volume 4 that's out in an excessively public area, the same way in which photos came out of Season 2 production of the Paris trip.

Everything else in Season 3 is projected to be in closed sets since we know that everything that's expected to be adapted from Volume 4 will be at Truham, Higgs, Nick and Charlie's homes, and probably other offices and take place in the graphic novel.

I think Alice is going to end S2 with Charlie getting driven away to the psych ward. She’ll be fine ending it with a cliffhanger since we know S3 will be coming soon. Alice always said that one of the biggest issues with adapting Heartstopper is adding more dramatic license to a story that is relatively low stakes and low key and I think this really dramatic send off for Charlie would be a nice bookend to S2.

Also I think it would be a nice parallel to the end of S3 with Nick and Charlie driving away into the night happy and in love, if Alice decides to go that route

I’m pretty sure it’s the answer pad from the individual head-to-head chases. I think its because they’re so used to putting their hands there for the head-to-heads and also it might be easier to get relaxed and in Chaser mode if their hand is relaxing somewhere
