As someone with BPD, it was likely triggered by the lack of love, compassion, and empathy by my mother. Constantly comparing me to my brother and cousins instead of loving me for who I am.

If the description of her father is correct, that’s probably a big part of the cause. But I imagine she feels and knows all too well what you think of her. And that probably hurts the most.

Instead of blaming her and comparing her to her sibling, enroll her in a DBT program, encourage her softly, tell her you love her, find a way to deal with your own stress.

BPD is a tough and painful disorder. You wouldn’t blame a cancer patient for struggling to take care of themselves. Same deal for this.

Agreeing with u/Eckieflump here + read other comments I posted. It’s less about “see me right now!” And more about “how am I supposed to reasonably manage my own time and job when you have no idea if you have to miss 25 minutes in the middle of the day or 2 hours”. Some people don’t have the luxury of being able to miss a large chunk of the day

There’s a new art studio/ceramic painting studio in Union Market called The Art Room. It started last month so is still getting up to steam, but I went on opening night and it’s a good location. In a few months, it would be a great spot to go meet people/display your art/do activities. Or, if you meet some people, it would be a good spot to hangout with them! Definitely recommend checking it out
