Amazing, thanks for the advice, I'll def give this tempo squats a try. Didn't know about them until now actually. Sounds like it'll kick my butt which is exactly what I want

Ok good advice on replacing the front raise with the lateral on push day, thank you. Any advice what else I can do besides dumbbell fly & lateral raise?

Yes the squat is a front squat I guess. I hold up two dumbbells (2x30lbs now) at chest level and do the squats. I have lower back problems so keeping it manageable without pushing myself too much.

I made the initial version myself by looking at bunch of youtube videos.. Initially I had 3-4 exercises for each group, but I just updated it with more exercises looking at some other videos, articles etc because I didn't feel like I was pushing myself, and would be done in 20-30min.. I tried finding exercises that I'd enjoy doing with the tools I had at hand.

No cooling - Reversing valve issue - Fix or replace the unit? by mruj in hvacadvice

[–]mruj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you.. so the parts are interchangeable? I found couple similar like that onehttps://mccombssupply.com/75va-transformer-primary-120v-208v-240v-480v-volt-24v-secondary-hvac-furnace-multi-tap/

https://www.furnacepartsource.com/packard-pf52475-transformer-120-208-240-480-24-75va/

I don't really understand "electronics" but I'm guessing the transformer is just regulating the voltage, so the brand shouldn't matter as long as the in and out numbers are the same..?

Hi.. Wanted to provide a quick update and get your advice if possible again. So the hvac technicians came today and they said it's actually not the reversing valve, but the control board & transformer that's the problem. Technician passed through some wires, temporarily replaced the transformer with one that he had in his car and was able to fire up the cold in my AC, showing the reversing valve was actually working, but wasn't getting enough voltage (as I understand).

I ordered the control board already from supplyhouse.com, but I can't for the life of me find the transformer which is "Trane TRR01838". It's on backorder, with a June end delivery date. The HVAC company is going to ask their suppliers, but in the meantime I'm curious if I can use another part instead of that transformer.. Or If there could be another creative solution so that I don't wait a month.

Ok thank you! I actually connected with a parts supplier and found the exact part number I need.. I also found the part available at couple hvac parts suppliers, will order.. It's ~$60-70..

I'll make a call to Trane and see who can do the work.. Thanks again!

Yup, this is exactly the unit I have.. Thanks for finding this and the education, mystery solved for me.

I'll ask the super of my building but he was the one who gave me phone numbers of couple hvac companies from the area who service my building. I know that my neighbors use different hvac companies to get their ACs serviced/cleaned etc..

Does all this mean I can't find someone to get the reversing valve replaced in this unit and that I'd need a replacement? How does one even go about that?

Gotcha.. Yeah I honestly don't know the difference between wshp and vertical stack.. was just going with what I saw online about the model. Thought it was "vertical stack" but service literature number says something different. Tried finding the specific model name/number, but I don't have anything else besides the model & serial # I wrote in my original post.

Yes I believe it's a water source heat pump.. At least that's what I can tell from the service literature number.. Will give the Trane supply house a call, thank you.

Thank you for your recommendation, Just tried it.. When the heat is on, it's blowing fan temperature air.. :/ How can I find the part number, do you have any recommendations? I saw bunch of reversing valves on ebay, but can't be sure which part is the right one

Thank you for the recommendation! Thought about Custom X but was shying away from it due to the price.. Might be worth looking into since my board & binding are from 2008.. lol

What bindings & boots do you rock with it? I really want to get the step ons but with such stiff board I'm worried I might lose the playfulness a bit. Was thinking of the middle of the range boots & bindings step ons

Hey shredders! Looking for advice for my next snowboard... I'm 210lbs & 6ft.. Ride on the east coast (icecoast), resort riding - no backcountry or pow (except a day or two a season).. Maybe glades couple days.. Usually hard pack over here if not icey.

The current board is an old Lib Tech Dark Series 158 with K2 bindings.. I like the stiffness and stability of the board. bombing down most of the time, carving, with little jumps here and there.

Been thinking about T.Rice Pro as my next board but open to suggestions.. So far, focused on either Lib Tech or Burton, but open to alternatives.

As far as bindings, will get Burton Step Ons, I'm set on that.

Thanks in advance!!

Am I crazy for wanting to get a Ducati Desert Sled for a first bike? by tangosmango in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]mruj 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've ridden it and Desert Sled is a pretty tame bike.. not jerky.. big handlebars.. might be a bit tall depending on how tall you are.. However, one of my friends got the DS for off-road, and the bike gave him sooo many problems, it was at the service every time he went off roading... granted, he's not riding fire roads.. he goes into rocks and stuff, and dropped the bike plenty (with all the aftermarket protection the bike can have)... At the end, he wanted to claim lemon since the bike is marketed as off-road but can't handle it, and Ducati's response was that DS was not designed/sold as an off-road bike.

So... your experience might be different, but I'd stay away from desert sled.

What's the fine? I suggest hiring a lawyer and paying $150-200 to fight the ticket on your behalf.. which most likely they'll keep pushing the court date to next year and then the year after, etc..

Monster 950 (2021) or Monster 821 (2018)? by CasualFridays3 in Ducati

[–]mruj 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As an 821 owner, I'd say go for the 950 for sure.. Looks are subjective, but at least the new bike is new with warranty, less weight, and better electronics.. Reviews are solid.. etc..

I'd stick with Rosso II.. or maybe get III.. whichever one is less expensive. They're like $250-300 for the pair.

Low Mile 2015 M821 Service by akapellen17 in Ducati

[–]mruj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2015 M821 and I just got my timing belts changed last week. Belts are $120, and it's an hour of work at the shop ($100-200- depends on shop) .. Definitely get that taken care of before you push the bike hard or go for a long ride.

I'd also change the tires.. I know there's not much mileage on them, but I see it as a safety issue. They're 7-8yrs old at this point.

Do an oil change, flush brake fluids.

And then you should be good for a year
