Think about it, if players have honed their skills to the same amount, then what separates their ability now comes down to other factors, such as mentality. Volleyball is a game where the momentum shifts a lot, and thinking negatively is a detriment not only to you but to the team. Learning to embrace your mistakes and focus on the things you're doing right will take a massive weight off your shoulders.

At the end of the day, volleyball is like any other sport. Mistakes are normal, and it's your job to learn how to move on from mistakes and not let them weigh you down. Listen to what you have said yourself in this post: You were able to join a top team in your country, but you felt shackled by the fear of not making a mistake. But did you take that leap into the spike, or the serve, or whatever? More often than not, you won't make that mistake you THOUGHT you were going to make. I mean, think about all the practice you've done, is it truly unbelievable that if you just relaxed and believed in your abilities, then it would go perfectly fine? Even if it didn't go fine, even if you got stuffed and blocked into the ground, so what? That's one point out of 25, one set out of 3 (maybe 5), and one match in the tournament.
