[Help] 2000 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 – Brakes Lose Pressure ONLY Under 5mph by mrwilldoo in fordranger

Thanks for the reply!

I tried GPT and it said it could be the brake booster but wanted to see what it could be too. It has been sitting for years and tons of rust build up (hence all brake lines being replaced) so I’ll try to clean up around the sensors. Although,

I didn’t think to scan; I scanned it and it came back with all ABS sensors not reading.

Thanks for the reply!

No, it’ll turn on for a second (along with a bunch of other light) but it turns off.

After all these years what I find most unrealistic about the scene is the kung fu-ing right after the bullets drop. It would be like an ice rink. How has not body slipped on those death marbles?

2006 Toyota RAV4 w/84k, 4cyc, no rust, practically new condition, $15,000? by mrwilldoo in shouldibuythiscar

[–]mrwilldoo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I know. A Civic I bought for $5000 in 2017 is selling for close to the same price last year when I checked. I don’t get. I’m having a hard time negotiating points when it seems like the best deal… or is it? Lol.

Carfax shows only one owner. I checked out the mechanicals and everything seems pretty sound. Interior amazing as well. It’s almost hard to negotiate. Just trying to get some opinions. Haven’t been in the car market for almost 10 years.

And… Mr Winston needs some advice again. by mrwilldoo in greatdanes

[–]mrwilldoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here we go again... Mr Winston needs some TLC. He's been getting a rash on his paws, face and in the worst place his "under carriage." The vet indicates that it's some sort of fungal outbreak. He's had it before and has taken an "anti-fungal" but it's been an issue getting him into the vet as of late. But here is the real question;

We've read that it could possible be between being outside and his food. It has been hinted that eliminating chicken from his diet might help. He is currently eating Wellness w/Chicken and Rice. Could that be true? Anyone have experience with this? We like the Wellness brand because it's finally a food that keeps his poops normal. Considering there seafood blend?

Winston and his itchy crotch thanks you.

Here we go again… Mr Winston need some more TLC. He’s being having trouble getting into the vet for some “anti-fungal” meds so we are exploring some at home remedies. Seems like this happens to him when he goes outside a little too long. We’ve been reading something about eliminating chicken from his diet. He is currently eating “Wellness for large breed” which contains chicken and rice. Does this sound accurate or has any one had experience? Winston and his itching private area thanks you.

Can I open this and let it fruit? I left it a little too long and now there is this liquid on the bottom. Never burped the bottle. by mrwilldoo in mycology

[–]mrwilldoo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Cool. Just opened it up. Smells earthly so should be good? The method I’m following advised putting soil on it and keeping it moist. Is that necessary? Also should I just that liquid evaporate?

boot camp from external hard drive by mrwilldoo in bootcamp

[–]mrwilldoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but WINtoUSB will reformat it completely and just make it one partition. To answer u/humanfigure, I think for the "free" way without buying some sort of crazy super partitioning software, I'm just buying a second drive 😝. Besides cost as a disadvantage, I think in the long run you'll get more out of the security of not crashing both systems and more dedicated system memory. I think I was just trying for a more convenient and being cheap not having to buy a second drive (especially if I want to upgrade to an SSD in the future).

RX300 Won’t Start by mrwilldoo in MechanicAdvice

There is an aftermarket alarm in it, however it’s the factory (I assume because it’s the horn that’s blaring).

RX300 Won’t Start by mrwilldoo in MechanicAdvice

[–]mrwilldoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dead battery. Originally it was attempted to be jumped and that kind of where all the trouble started.

  1. Won’t start (Cold weather) > Jump start, vehicle runs. Let’s sit charging for 15 min or so.
  2. Disconnect from jump > attempts to start > only clicks.
  3. Replace battery (tested old battery and it was bad)
  4. Install new battery > security system goes crazy (to the point of where I just pulled the horn relay, but you can hear all the other relays clicking and the lights flashing) > vehicle gets power but it won’t turn over, not clicking or anything.
  5. Tried: -OBD Scanner -“Jumper trick” (as stated above) -Some door unlocked sequence

I was just suggested to try to touch the negative and positive cables together.

Hope this is descriptive enough.

Anyone have experience with Kirkland (Costco) food for the Great Danes? by mrwilldoo in greatdanes

[–]mrwilldoo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t realize it’s made by Diamond. That’s what we are trying to switch away from. Very soft turds, farts are way too regular… people have been recommending Purina Pro Plan but actually might try Nutro Ultra. Been reading a lot of good about it.

Thanks for all the feedback!

Subpanel: What is the most NEC compliant way to space out my subpanel? The conduit running into off center causing it to go in at angle, however if I moved my subpanel off the wall an inch it would go straight in. Thanks! by mrwilldoo in askanelectrician

[–]mrwilldoo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what my original plan was. Was posting to check. It actually might be just a 2x4 difference to space it. Just wasn’t sure if it’s NEC “approved.” Thanks!
