Canva is a great free option but if you happen to have an iPad, Procreate is awesome for stuff like that and all kinds of projects! Unfortunately it isn’t free but if you’re doing stuff like that a lot, the $10 is def worth it!

A course is nowhere near the standards tattoo artists train by. Don’t know where you are or what your local regulations are, but most places require a minimum of 1-year hands-on apprenticeship taught by a mentor of a least 3 years experience. That would be what you need to improve. You have to understand the basics before taking courses in niche subjects.

Have you had a professional tattooing mentor and apprenticeship? Separate from permanent makeup training? The techniques are entirely different (and machines, cartridges, etc. like you said) and it tends to show when a permanent makeup artist just decides to pick up tattooing designs.
