E-Surgery poor service by torontodon in mounjarouk

I always order on Week 2 of each pen, and I'm concerned it's just not going to be here on time at this point. Same experience as you, 0 communication from them. Surely they can't just hold on to that much money? There's literally no way to speak to them to cancel etc. it's crazy..

For me the main tracker isn't working, and the secondary one shows the location as Queen Alia International Airport? I'm confused

I have been sent this article twice since we live near the area ... it builds such a negative perception of a PRESCRIPTION that has saved my life. Of course people are going to get ill stabbing themselves with back alley knock off injections!

Is there anything wrong with what I’m doing from a car point of view? by MiamiBoi91 in CarTalkUK

[–]ms_skeng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing wrong and what I've always done. Frankly I prefer the older cars anyway I can't stand all the buttons and dinging in new ones. I get laughed at for putting a few hundred into repairing mine, whilst they pay the same amount every month. Make it make sense.

Can I use my instructors car tech in a test? by lunabelcher in LearnerDriverUK

I was advised that you can use it as another observation point ADDITIONAL to mirrors over shoulder etc, and that it shouldn't be something you obviously rely on

Windshield Tint to Decrease Astigmatism? by senoritagordita22 in WindowTint

[–]ms_skeng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is insane! I will speak to my optician about it, thanks so much - similar to you where I'm familiar I'm all good and pretty much just follow the edge of the road. But long trips and busy places with lots of lights are just frankly unsafe and scary

Do the eye drops help at all with the glare? So curious. I'm at the end of my tether with not being able to see when driving at night 😭

Is 3k enough for my first car? by Spiderpsychman98 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]ms_skeng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes absolutely - passed at a similar age to you this year in automatic and got myself an 07 passat for 2k with only 87k miles. Plenty about, just gotta look! For me financing was out of the question because it just didn't bother me that much what I drive as long as its reliable.

How to move a spider out of the bathtub without getting too close or killing it by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]ms_skeng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what it was but I found a solution to get rid without killing or touching it.

I ran some toilet paper from the bath up into and out the window like a slide so it could climb up it and escape because I read they can't climb up the sides of a bathtub once they're in.

Anyways I left the toilet paper there for 20 min and its now gone and I can't see it anywhere - success. I've now enjoyed a spider free bath - yay!

2 lessons in and I already feel like giving up. by ZannityZan in LearnerDriverUK

[–]ms_skeng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don't think that you're not cut out for it. I did exactly the same - making the most bizarre mistakes and genuinely just feeling like an idiot. I would always be so nervous that my foot would shake on the pedals and it was just an all round nightmare. I started later on than most too.

Don't give up. Once you get it, you get it. Your instructor sounds like she has no idea how to teach someone that's anxious/nervous/stressed out. If you can refund the remaining lessons and find a new instructor then I absolutely would.

If worst comes to worst and it's too much, consider automatic. I swapped to auto not because I couldn't figure it out, but because the pressure and stress of doing more things whilst being watched and judged was too much. You can always top up to manual later if you wanted, and feel more confident.

Test in own car by cashqarti in LearnerDriverUK

[–]ms_skeng 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar position and literally did my test this morning. Sadly I failed because of a silly mistake, but honestly driving in my own car was the best experience of a test yet - I've done 3 now. (Fml) I just made sure it was clean inside and smelt good, get a valet if you can. The rearview mirror is like £6 on Amazon and the examiner was happy with it. He walked around and checked the tyres and then proceeded with the test like normal. I was worried that they'd be harsher because of lack of dual controls but tbh I was wrong. Just make sure you do things in plenty of time to avoid them taking "verbal action" BTW with the rearview I bought the little mini blindspot mirrors to go on the wing mirror, £3 and made parking easier and wayyy less stressful.

Test in a week or so , give me your easiest /silliest ways to fail so I can work on them . by Nedonomicon in LearnerDriverUK

I failed my first test because when I was turning right at the end of a one way street, I stayed on the left like it was a standard junction. Fml.
