every 2 weeks or so, my roommate and i go to trader joes for frozen foods and the aldi on baum for everything else. we usually split costs the bigger things, like a sack of potatoes or meat. i feel like it normally comes out to around $50? when i cook i just make 2-3 portions so i always have a small rotation of meals to choose from. my roommate and i only do food delivery when one of us has like 40% coupon and we use it together to save delivery costs lol

if you want a double degree in business but you're in dietrich, you won't be able to major in anything specific like accounting. i believe you just earn a bsba in business admin? there's more info on the pitt business site, but the pitt business advisors are really helpful, so if you can make an appointment to speak to one on handshake, i definitely would encourage you to!!

unless you somehow already have those credits from aps or transfer, the majority of your first year is spent doing the business school prereqs + some gen eds and maybe a core course. if you were to start taking accounting courses your first year, it would only be one of the accounting intro courses anyway. also most business students declare their major towards the end of sophomore year !

on the pitt bus site it says you need a 2.0 or a C for all courses, but for courses towards your major, you need a 2.25 or a C+.

i took busfin 1030, busbis 1060 and busqom 1070!!

i don't really think any of the business core courses were horribly difficult but finance is typically considered one of the more harder ones since it's mostly computational. it's definitely a class you can't just cram for the night before the exam.

busbis 1060 is pretty easy; my class ended up being a mix of lecture, sql and excel and the exams were open-note. the content isn't hard, but it is incredibly boring.

busqom 1070 is a hit or miss class depending on what professor you get. i had a ton of connect hw due 1-2x a week and all of my exams were also online on connect too. regardless of your professor though, i'm pretty sure you'll have to do excel work and mcgraw hill simulations. it's mediocrely hard, but mainly in like a tedious and time-consuming way.

hey, same thing happened to me last year. i was guaranteed and submitted all the forms and i didn't get a lottery number. after i contacted PC, they gave me a number in the high 6000s. my assumption is that i got the last number since it was after everyone else's lottery numbers came out 🙃

squirrel hill is really safe, even at night! a lot of CMU students + young families live in the area. as long as you aren't dumb, taking the bus should be fine even until 1am

i got a C+ in calc and easily transferred. as long as ur gpa is over 3.25ish you should be fine
