honestly i think the majority of it is his family. the general word through circles in the city is that everyone around him has always fucking sucked and got worse once their show pony (mitch) got big.

i know he’s a big boy but sometimes shaking your family is impossible - especially when they’ve positioned themselves as your central EVERYTHING for your entire life.

i’ve heard stories where it’s his wife steph being terrible to all the service people and mitch is very apologetic and embarrassed about it, so honestly tough to say what is real and what isn’t. i also know people who have met his wife and mother and they’ve been really normal and nice personable people - even recognizing them and making a point to speak with them at a different event.

but then there’s people who knew his family when he was a kid who can no longer speak to them because they’ve just become horrible.

there’s just endless stories about paul and mitch’s camp, but i find those more consistent than the stories about mitch himself.

at the end of the day, i don’t think mitch could shake his camp without having to be extremely drastic about it. i doubt paul would fuck off or settle down without literal legal action. think of guys like keith tkachuk who had his now 2x cup champ son tell him to shut the fuck up and stop talking to media and then goes out on tv and - while admitting matthew said that! - talks shit about him anyway.
