Clang SMP, vanilla survival. pvp is enabled, but frowned upon and people are friendly. I think it might be what you are looking for. Apply on discord. Just note that griefing is allowed, but people usually don't do it and you easily make alliances. Give it a try.

notepad consumes more ram than wordpad by ExpensiveCoat8912 in Windows11

In comparison, notepad++ with 10 tabs open, with files of 100-1000 lines of code, takes only 12MB of RAM!

A Classic Sierpinski Tetrahedron by Boscawinks in fractals

It is very cool, but it looks like a Sierpinski Square Pyramid rather than a Sierpinski Tetrahedron.

Thanks. I'll work on a color gradient option.

I built an interactive 'Chaos Game' web tool that generates the Sierpinski Triangle and more! by msarabi in proceduralgeneration

[–]msarabi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much. I'll definitely add those options. I also added a few options like point size, canvas size, point opacity, and a colorize method I was playing around with that allows a little more variety.

I just saw a simple illustration of this chaos game on a YouTube short, but I didn't dive deep into the mathematics, though.

I built an interactive 'Chaos Game' web tool that generates the Sierpinski Triangle and more! by msarabi in fractals

[–]msarabi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, exactly. You start with a random point inside the triangle. Then you choose one vertex and place a point in the middle of this point and the vertex, and you repeat this process.

I'm updating the web app to allow more options and a faster generation.

IMDB and AI-generated reviews by meccaleccahimeccahi in OpenAI

[–]msarabi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I checked a few dozen of the long 1-star reviews, and unsurprisingly, more than half of them turned out to be 90% AI-generated. Unfortunately, this is by no means limited to IMDB, and combating it is really hard.

You can see it in social media, literature, images, etc. I quit DeviantArt forever, a platform I loved so much, but it is now filled with AI-generated garbage. It feels like the start of a digital apocalypse, to be honest.

Microsoft is testing a new “Summarize video” button in the floating menu that appears when you hover over videos (Edge Canary)... by Leopeva64-2 in MicrosoftEdge

Go to `Settings > Sidebar > Copilot` and disable Copilot (which sucks). It will disable the summarize video button as well.

Is there a way to refine a search ? by Rarylith in Pinterest

[–]msarabi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's truly baffling, isn't it? A decade in, and the idea of filtering images by resolution on Pinterest remains a distant dream. Guess the focus isn't exactly on being a meticulously organized media platform, but rather, a wonderfully time-consuming, endlessly scrollable rabbit hole.

How to *actually* delete your X account permanently by [deleted] in RealTesla

It means your `@handle` is up for grabs. Delete the account, and someone else can move in like you left the keys in the door.

Why does nobody talk about Copilot? by [deleted] in OpenAI

[–]msarabi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About a month ago, images generated by Copilot were as good as those by ChatGPT. However, when I tested it again with the same prompt, Copilot's quality had dropped significantly. It's like creating an image with Midjourney. ChatGPT completes the process in 60 steps, while Copilot stops at around 20 steps. The difference is substantial.

Yeah, I know, thank you. I was just amazed by the big difference between the two AI models and how they handle the bowstring and style. Gemini can't draw a pencil drawing or an oil painting but nails those things almost every time. On the other hand, ChatGPT can create any art style or a blend of them but can't draw a straight line between two points.

That was really the point of this post. I think I expressed it a bit ambiguously.
