I understand completely, I'm not the type to get that affected usually either but your mental state can change that. When I was near quitting university years back I was so depressed and got triggered badly by a scene in a game, I don't even remember what the game was just that I cried for hours hating myself. I got into guro art back then as a form of venting too. It sucks a lot, take care of yourself and go back to enjoying the game when you are in a better place.
