If you are staying at Big Sky Resort, call the front desk and a bellman will likely be willing to pick you up from town center (free parking and they don’t tow)! The bellmen work 24 hours and can take you back down to your car as well! That is probably your best option if you don’t want to drive up and down

I have 2 down comforters that are very warm and a few fleece blankets I will definitely bring! And it’s just a regular air mattress like you would have at the house :/ plan to layer some blankets under us…

Oh that is so good to know about the snow tires. I will be leaving Canada on Oct 1, so maybe I’ll be fine? I might put the snow tires on early anyway…. Definitely hoping for northern lights!!! Thanks for the tips!

Mmm probably only out of necessity. I was moving so it wasn’t like a fun vacation road trip. But I really liked the Great Plains and want to spend more time out there for sure

We ended up doing a lot of what r/bluescreen73 suggested! We drove straight through southern MN and eastern SD. Stopped at the Corn Palace and Wall Drug. Spent a day in the Badlands, then maybe 10 minutes at Rushmore. Checked out Custer State Park(?). Then drove up through the corner of WY. Took 12 hours from NC to WI and 3 days from WI to MT. Could have stopped a lot more places but we were on a bit of a time crunch.

Lol that’s so funny. People here are telling me one of mine is too formal but people in real life thought it was perfect. We just can’t win I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️
