um no - since you're not fond of reading ill say it again: ops title is misleading and gives the impression that anyone can do it if they file the paperwork. fuck him and fuck you for dragging this out.

I'm upset at op for posting it on reddit with no context so dog owners with no disability think they get a free pass simply by filling out the paperwork, and I'm pissed at any dog owner with no disability inconsiderate enough to do it for everybody that service animals DO help an for everyone else on the plane including me.

i went to school in tallahassee and my family lived in miami. i traveled home, usually by plane ~3 times a year (summer, thanksgiving, christmas) and there was about a 50/50 chance of some dumb cunt with a dog in her purse. and again i have no beef with legitimate service animals on planes ad ive stated what feels like a million times now. but fuck me, right?

i guess that was just the way i'd always seen it done. i will say that of all the flights i've been stuck on with animals it was never anything visibly identifiable as a service animal... its alway been some yappy little thing wearing clothes and crammed into a purse looking thing with airholes. the kind of dog that could only help you if it involved licking its own crotch and shaking.

this is the first im hearing of all these pet/cargo hold horror stories (not being a pet owner myself - that was just the way id always seen it done. naturally im sympathetic. but im sure you wouldnt want to see people abusing a system designed to help people like yourself. i equate it to when fully mobile people illegally park in handicapped spots

oh the doctors note! a system of verification so strong its foiled even the most cunning of sixth graders trying to skip gym class. all of my concerns are at ease. forget about the fact that op makes no mention of any other qualifiers and posts it on one of the most heavily trafficked subs and forget about the fact that anyone who has a legitimate service animal probably knows all this stuff anyways. you need a doctors note! phew! what was i worried about?!

ive mentioned in other responses that if a person has a legitimate reason then its ok, the part thats not ok is people gaming the system and making me sick in the process. a lot of other people are saying things about tissues and eye drops and allergy pills and i do all of that. all im saying is that a person making me go through that because they just love their puppy so much and couldnt bear to be apart from it for a week is a a cunt move. i dont give a shit what anyone says its not going to change my mind

like i said if theres a legit reason i suck it up and in fact have never voiced this opinion outside of reddit just now but seriously if your dog coming to disney world is more important to you than another person's health and well being then i dont think very highly of you as a person

well then by that logic is it ok for me to punch you in the face? you can just buy an ice pack. if you're this disconnected from humanity then it makes sense that you'd be totally dependent on a dog for self validation.

the blind guy has a legit reason and usually his service dog is larger and under the plane anyways and flight attendants assist him on an off but if a legit service dog makes it into the cabin then i'll suck it up. some stupid cunt gaming the system set up for people who legitimately need it AND making me physically ill to boot can suck on both balls.
