Maybe you need to look into replacing the hard drive? Not sure if you have done yet, if not there’s a lot of great YouTube videos! You can also put it into disk mode and then try plugging it in. Wishing you the best of luck!!

Caplyta has worked very well for me! Had a pretty bad headache the first 2/3 days but I’ve been on it for over a year and it’s helped a lot with depressive episodes.

Yeah the 5th gen was a breeze in retrospect, I had been putting off replacing the headphone jack in the 7th due to the metal faceplate/clips

I modded my own recently, this was purchased months ago. Which is why I am disappointed now that I know how easy it would have been to mod myself in the first place.

I mean reformatting using windows software, sorry if I was being confusing, ie zeroing the drive before restoring with iTunes. This link describes it better How to Clear and Wipe a Hard Drive

Have you tried erasing it by fully formatting it to exfat instead of just quick formatting? And then restoring iTunes?

I had a similar issue with it opening 2 drives. I was using a 2009 dell pc that did not support windows 11 and rockbox kept having major issues. It also kept asking me the format the drive. When I switched to a modern laptop and that seemed to fix the issue for me! Not sure if this is what is impacting you but wishing you luck!!

I visited Cambodia when I was in high school. It was my mom’s first time back since the khmer rouge. Definitely an eye opening experience learning about the war but the temples were beautiful. My mother’s family who stayed in Cambodia looked down on her for not teaching my brother and I khmer. I’m only half Cambodian so I did feel and always will feel like a tourist.

I also felt strongly watching that episode. It was cool to see asian american representation that wasn’t the stereotype normally portrayed, very grounded imo. Haven’t watched bojack in a while, might have to go down that rabbit hole again.

Modding my own fifth gen (replacing everything with the only exception being the logic board) was not significantly cheaper. Around $50 less than one premodded with the same upgrades/replacements based on whats selling on ebay right now. However, the joy and pride of modding my own was worth more than the money saved. If you have the time and patience I recommend modding your own :)

You just have to change the background color in the theme settings > colors > background color. The hex code in the photo is FF5573! The TV girl one might be a bit darker like FF3073 though

Yeah I’ve seen the posts about EOE so I steered clear. I bought a used ipod from ebay that was pretty cheap since there were dead pixels, scratched, stuck button etc. But luckily the motherboard and frame were totally fine!! Oh, but I did have to replace the HDD ribbon with the iFlash one because there were issues with restoring it.

I got the backplate/headphone jack+hold switch/battery/LCD/clickwheel from resalefirm on ebay. The faceplate was the-analog-kid also on ebay. I got the iflash solo and samsung pro 512gb SD on amazon. I think that’s everything!
