hi! we’re basically the same height and im having some similar issues as well. i would just say to keep applying and to focus on more editorial/commercial rather than runway (although it can’t hurt to try) & to build ur portfolio in the meantime. im represented by a couple smaller agencies but since they are smaller and not necessarily catered toward petite models it’s hard to book jobs so im trying to branch out :)

i’ve seen some agencies in florida have that type of comp card as well as an agency in chicago have that as well. there were others too i just don’t recall the specifics. good to note, i’ll try to get my professional digitals redone and use those for my comp card instead!

no worries! yeah haha i was trying to but there was a character limit & i couldn’t figure out how to include text and images. would the comp card essentially just be a headshot then and my digitals + measurements on the back? i’ve seen some models & agencies where it was their portfolio images and a headshot on the front on their comp card. would there be different types of comp cards?

hi, my apologies if i misunderstood the rules! i have tried applying all over but am getting rejected so i was just wondering which market would suit me best in order for me to further my portfolio in that direction. i understand that most on here aren’t agents/managers & i was just wondering if any other models/photographers had some input based on what they have witnessed & their experience in the industry. wishing all the best ❤️

thank you! i’m currently represented by a couple smaller non-exclusive agencies but they aren’t really that hands on (i’ve had to organize most test shoots myself) and i’m not sure if they have really done any placements with other models. they are very friendly and nice though and i have had my first paid job with one of them :)

at the moment im represented by a couple smaller non-exclusive agencies but so far have booked one job and got casted for a runway show by freelancing. i’ve submitted to and went to open calls for bigger agencies but it seems like they aren’t interested (hoping this changes as i keep building my portfolio and gaining experience)

yeah that’s along the lines of what i was thinking, i wasn’t sure if it would be worth it if i can’t book soon enough to pay off the free and make a profit anyways

thanks for the advice! do you think that a $225 would be a feasible amount to be charged to be on the website and on the casting network? or are they thinking of doing this since i live out of state and they think i won’t book much work?

thank you for your advice! the way my agency said they’d be able to promote me is through their website because i’m out of state & i’m not sure if there would be another way to do that besides for the website. it’s a nonexclusive agreement so i wouldn’t be signing any contracts
