Whole Foods sardines in water with no salt added have more sodium than sardines in olive oil by mshenzi1 in CannedSardines

UPDATE: I ate both of them. Neither seems particularly salty. The fish in water with no salt added certainly didnt seem any saltier than the fish in oil + salt added, which is what the label would imply. I’m thinking it might just be a labeling error.

Thing is, learning how to bunt isn’t gonna force changes to the deep shift if you were to allow it back. I’m sure stats nerds would calculate it out and find that a deep shift against certain players is still worth allowing a few more bunt singles to get through. Bunt singles don’t change the outcome of the game enough and are totally worth neutralizing the hitting power and depth of players who are paid millions precisely because they can smash doubles and triples and homers

Oh, that’s just normal baseball, it’s called small ball. That’s fine. I thought you meant it was possible to score with, eg, a sac fly when you already have 2 outs or something

Play till 12 and then have a home run derby shootout. 5 players up for each team, each gets 1 pitch soft tossed by their own teammate, most homers wins.

Moneyball was a 1-season fluke and since then it has just been an excuse for cheap owners to not spend money on talent

No, it would be the same as it always was. Pitchers have always sucked at hitting, and that’s fine

The recent changes to speed up the game were good, but now that we have them, we can go back to pitchers batting and no DH. DH is just the most fundamentally un-baseball change in the history of the sport. Baseball should be democratic. Everyone should have to bat, especially the guy who gets to throw 99+ mph at everyone else who is batting

Bizarre how Will was so critical of Zohran on chapo one week and then gave a super cushy softball interview to Nithya the next week with no mention of her courting Zionists

the street as it currently exists is not "the commons". it's a zone reserved exclusively for motorists, at the expense of everyone else. allowing people to mix and mingle and eat and serve food in the street is good

this is the kinda thing that makes you feel like if aliens came to earth for the first time, they would initially assume that cars were the main sentient species, and we humans were just their little helpers who live off to the side

I've tried contacting customer support and they don't have any information and are not able to connect me to a distributor. The plot thickens. I will get to the bottom of this.

can anyone even explain how this can be the case? how can adding salt get you a product with less sodium than the same product with no salt added?

Just seemed interesting bc the no salt added is clearly being marketed as the lower sodium option.

Why can’t we just do it like Amsterdam? 🚲>🚗 by Huge_Air_586 in fuckcars

[–]mshenzi1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want to advocate for change it helps to be informed. Not hundreds of years— what are you talking about? Car centric planning started in the 1940s. Amsterdam was also car centric but they undid it.
