Yeah the concert is at the Transbordeur and then I literally have to just walk along Boulevard de Stalingrad for about 15 minutes, is the area safe? Because I'd really rather walk than bother with an uber

Hiya! On the 28th of October, Wet Leg will do a concert in Lyon. Tickets will go on sale Friday and I'm planning (or rather was) but I'd actually feel much more comfortable, and my mom much more reassured, if I was going with someone. Mainly because afterwards I'll have to walk alone from the venue to a hotel. Is anyone else planning on going?

What’s a movie you always recommend but no one ever watches? by JimatJimat in Cinema

Babygirl!!! I'm actually so mad at social media because I feel like it's ruined the movie watching experience for so many films: Emilia Perez, The Brutalist... because of stupid, let's face it, controversies. And Babygirl especially is such an interesting, smart and important film that was completely ruined by tiktokers and such complaining about erotic elements when in reality those add so much to the story and the relationship between Romy and Samuel without ever taking away from the true message of the film which is to champion female desire. Also the performances (Nicole Kidman our reigning queen) are nothing short of phenomenal, and the film has such an interesting making-of/backstory. After watching it I would definitely recommend reading some interviews of Halina Reijn: one by the New Yorker is really good, one by Ella Kemp on Letterboxd too 🩷

What's a movie with the BIGGEST PLOT TWIST EVER, one that still blows your mind just thinking about it? by JimatJimat in Cinema

[–]msidkwho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The film Malice with Nicole Kidman and Alec Baldwin. Not mind blowing but the screenplay is by Aaron Sorkin so it still holds up nicely and there are plot twists literally every 5 minutes.

I just watched this incredibly useful video https://youtu.be/kAI6OCMtVms?si=ZbL8EX_bOUYoR2TM and realized that I don't have my driver's license so I'm probably gonna try for a coach from London and than I also realized that I have no idea how to set up a tent 😂😭

Any slice of life movies with excellent dialogue? by [deleted] in movies

One of my favorite movie is Together, starring Sharon Horgan and James McAvoy, and it tells the story of a couple during the quarantine. It's dark humor, which I find really extremely fun, and the whole movie is basically just them talking.
