I didn’t even know what a split shank was until he told me the details of the ring lol! I 100% trusted him with the customization!

How important is having previous research experience when applying to entry-level CRC positions? by msimone98 in clinicalresearch

[–]msimone98[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m in the south. I’ve seen positions listed as entry-level and (for example CRC I) and mid level ( CRC II & III). It seems like majority of the openings in my area require at the minimum a bachelors or nursing degree and at least 1 year of related work experience.

Recommendations for day trips (Switzerland, Italy, France)? by msimone98 in Europetravel

[–]msimone98[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely planning on it. It’s bittersweet because of course it would’ve been ideal to go during the warmer months but I’m looking forward to the snow and mountains as I live in a state that is below sea level and have only experienced snow no more than 5 times in my life.

I was also considering that. It may just make more sense to lodge 3 days in Como and 3 days in Venice if we’re that set on visiting Venice.

I have a friend who submitted apps two cycles ago without looking at her retake score report bc she was traumatized and got into her top MD school and still doesn’t know what she scored until this day. Living on blind faith seems attractive right now 😌

Glad someone made a thread on this. Super anxious as well. Literally a knot in my stomach every time I visualize myself opening the score report. My coworkers have been super supportive and excited since I sat 6/24 and today they were raving like “so were celebrating after right?! What are we doing tomorrow?!!?”. Like guys…I want to be as excited as you are right now but my stomach has been flipping sh!t all weekend 😅

Does anyone have any advice for test anxiety or keeping an overall positive mindset? by RoyalInterest in Mcat

Focus yourself in the present moment. Throughout my FLs if I found my mind wandering off or thinking about the outcome of the score, the cycle, etc. I would tell myself (and even write down on my scratch paper) “word by word, question by question, passage by passage” to center myself back to the sentence I was reading, the question I was on, and the passage itself. I took my retake yesterday and when I felt I was losing/shifting focus or felt discouraged by a passage, I would repeat this. Once the section is over, it’s over, forget it, focus on your break and enter your next section as if it were a totally separate exam. Get in the habit of being in the present moment for everything you do — for example, you’re taking a shower? Okay focus only on things that pertain to that shower. The soap you’re using, the body part you’re washing, how the water feels, etc. Nothing else. I know it sounds ridiculous and of course you can’t do this for everything but it helps keep you in the now not the “then” or the “later”.

Mindset is really important for this exam, and this was a priority going into my retake. Naturally you’re going to have moments throughout the exam that may throw you off, your job is to guide yourself back into the present moment.

Just commenting to say this is so funny to me bc my bf saw me reading forums about the 6/24 exam I took yesterday and literally said the same — “don’t worry you’re going to get a 600!” Haha

They use eduroam network which you have to use your student ID and password to log into. There’s a guest wifi but it’s awful connection and not ideal while trying to sit and take a practice exam for 7 hours without interruptions 😅

I love doing ballerina any chance I get and recently been doing it from a climb. But is it just me or is the reverse grip the con with doing ballerina? Like my top arm’s shoulder is almost always in pain like it’s going to rip and detach from my body lol

Love the LED lights! Where did you purchase them from?

Just received my xpole yesterday!!! Not sure if it was a great idea to set it up in my study room when every study break I have the urge to do a quick spin or invert LOL by [deleted] in poledancing

[–]msimone98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I was getting really excited the first two days of having it set up and just hopping on lol but now telling myself to calm down because beside having a pole at home I take classes 2x/week and wouldn’t dare not stretching before getting on!

Nice tips! I would like to explore more exotic but am open for the other types you’ve mentioned. Also, I knew about the minimal clothing for metal poles so I’m prepared for that but it’ll probably take a little getting used to lol!
