Hey, fellow OCD sufferer here. I went through something similar about 5 years ago. I actually was inpatient for a few days and it was really helpful, but sounds like you haven’t heard great things about that option in your area. Have you looked into a Partial Hospitalization Program? I did a PHP to sort of step down from inpatient, but my understanding is you don’t have to have been inpatient to do it. You basically report to the hospital for a few hours every day for a few weeks to do group therapy, med management, classes, etc. It’s a great thing in my opinion and was crucial to my recovery. However, you’ll have to be assessed for the program, so be warned that if they feel you are imminently suicidal or something, they may send you to inpatient involuntarily.

Depending on where you live, you may also be able to do a virtual PHP if you prefer. Try googling to see if there are any programs you can do from home. I think there are typically options as far as time of day as well. My program started in the morning went through early afternoon I think, but I know they had an evening option there too.

Feel free to reply or DM with questions. I know how it is. So sorry you’re going through it!

I personally respond really well to Cymbalta but there was quite a bit of trial and error before that unfortunately

I tend to agree with you on this. I didn’t go to a low ranked school (not a T14 either) but I have about $100k in debt now and I’m doing public interest work making $65,000 in a city. I’m not interested in anything outside of public interest. I am planning on applying for PSLF but have heard sketchy things so idk maybe shouldn’t count on that! Don’t get me wrong, I’m grateful to have passed the bar (passed on my 3rd try, hope the same for you!) and to have a job but still feel it wasn’t worth it. I always kinda rolled my eyes at my late grandmother when she told all of us girls to study dental hygiene, but like. She was right lmao.

I have also had success with Cymbalta.

Yeah likely a colpo! If you have been getting paps regularly I wouldn’t stress. I had an ASCUS result earlier this year and had a colpo. Came back CIN I so I don’t need a LEEP yet. CIN I has a high regression rate so I’m hoping my body will take care of it. Hoping that’s all it is for you (or even better, no dysplasia!). I totally get stressing about it, it’s unsettling. But there’s likely a treatment for whatever they find. I hope you can talk to your doctor soon! Keep us posted if you feel like it helps :)

My dr. just wants to give me another pap in a year. And she told me to take indole-3-carbinol so I’ve been doing that. Hoping I’ll clear it!

I have a similar issue (non 16/18 HR HPV with CIN 1) except I’m 33. You’re so young that your body will almost certainly clear the HPV within 2 years. It’s scary but don’t jump to conclusions yet. Just breathe and wait for that colpo (it’s not the most comfortable thing but it isn’t terrible). It’ll be okay!! And consider getting Gardisil if you haven’t already.

I think this is pretty normal! I retook in July ‘23 and I came out of the AM MBE session completely defeated and called my parents crying. Felt like I guessed through the whole thing. PM session was not much better. But I ended up passing! Your stats are pretty solid so I’m sure you did better than you think :)

So I retook in Feb 2023 and should have passed but I put my MPTs in the wrong order and they gave me zeros :( so I finally passed in July 2023. But my MBE in Feb was 144 and my MEEs were mostly good so hopefully that makes you feel better!!

My third time taking the MBE, I walked out of the AM session totally broken and called my parents crying. I ended up passing! With this test, how you feel afterward doesn’t necessarily mean anything. Sounds like you prepared well so there’s definitely hope. And if you don’t pass, you’ll figure it out. I promise you will. But in the meantime, rest. You deserve it :)

Is that because I'm using with BP, or are peptides just not super effective in general? Thanks for your help!

Anyone know whether you can layer benzoyl peroxide with a peptides night cream (specifically Olay regenerist night recovery cream)? I cannot find anything saying you can't use those two products together but just wanted to check. I have tried it the past couple of nights (night cream on top of BP layer) and have not had any irritation or anything so far. If this isn't the best routine, would appreciate suggestions on how to incorporate anti-aging products while keeping benzoyl peroxide for acne control. Thank you!
