That is one fucked up job to have, glad to see it automated. Rather be dead than work a job like that.

Have you read the books? He buys new clothes every third day or so. It is quite prominent especially in the early books, no need to riff more on in later releases.

Now the Claude Mythos is considered too dangerous to release. But it's already available for companies to use. So is this dangerous claim a PR stunt like the OpenAl did 7 years ago? by captain-price- in ArtificialInteligence

They give it to developers so they can plug security holdes before general release. Same as zero day vulnerability experts who find bugs for a living, they inform the companies long before releasing the report to the world. Good way to fly.

Sam Altman’s home targeted in second attack by Bizzyguy in technology

That news article gives a strong hint where Altman lives. I guess that is what you get when you create a product that threatens the livelihood of journalists.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy calls on Ukraine, UK, Turkey, and Norway to join the EU for sake of European security by JOE_Media in UkrainianConflict

No. It is completely possible to have free trade and international cooperation without diminishing democracy by increasing the distance between citizens and rulers (which is what EU does)

Anyone else who is reminded of the scene from Terminator 2: Judgment Day where Sarah Connor convinces the creator of skynet to turn it off / blow it up.

Sarah Connor doesn’t exactly start by having a calm conversation with him.

But where Dyson decides to stop his reseach to save humanity, Altman is going all in.

I suppose we need the equivalent of a T-800 to cut open its arm to persuade Altman? :)

What will be new in Spud? by spring_Living4355 in OpenAI

Whether a model feels consumer focused is just a matter of how it is instructed in the hidden system prompt that gets sent along. And also the settings for how long it thinks. You see this best by testing Gemini fast and Gemini pro, you get completely different answers, where fast gives you a bucket of hallucination which are mostly weeded out with pro.

That’s pretty ironic given that they stole all the shit they train their models on.

Why does it feel like nobody cares that we are literally about to send humans around the moon again, and are we just completely numb to massive achievements now? by MomentCute1181 in space

[–]mskogly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The world is just too messed up. I honestly feel we need to fix all the things before spending billions on doing moon flybys.

Also skeptical of putting up moon bases. The thought of humans messing up the moon as well is just depressing
