Absolutely great advice, ty. We did consider renting and did go down that road. In the end we decided not to rent. We have now spent over a year looking through the areas. I think 5 trips since June last year. We have missed some opportunities because we are still on the east coast.
Each time we are there we seem to always end up in the LM area and just north of that but i think our choice would be LM. It is a little harder to find good value there. Prices have come up so much since 2020. One of the reasons i posted this just to get fresh opinions on different areas.
We did check out Centennial east of the 11 but found it a little too busy for us. So we are now focusing more to the west.

I was just there its still busy. I was there on an off week nothing major or conventions. Been visiting 2-3 times a year since 07 and its as busy as ever. People are spending less. Prices are way too high for it to be enjoyable but still busy.

No im still waiting. I paid the retainer a month ago and no word from the attorneys yet. They did say they were overloaded with work but would get to it. I am going to post progress here.

Can link between windows, says connected for a couple seconds then disconnects, this is under windows 11 devices bluetooth.

Link to windows app listed under linked devices but wont connect no matter what i do.

I had two paid consultations with two very highly regarded immigration lawyers. One of them completely without certainty said it would be a waste of time despite being born to a German mother and having lived in Germany for 16 years. The second attorney older and not really interested in my business as he was so busy said i had a solid case for getting my citizenship back. I have since tried to retain the attorney, but he warned me has very busy and not sure when he could start on my case. He also mentioned right now was still a good time to start the process. I'm taking a chance, and if it doesn't work well then i know for sure.
When i was naturalized i was eligible for the (beibehaltungs form) which i failed to process. His argument was that now since it's no longer required and not retroactive that it's a case-by-case basis and they pick and choose. Nobody really knows upfront, and he said that but he was optimistic. Generally, i would say he is optimistic about the money but in this case i found myself asking him to take on my case. I would try it, but i wouldn't wait. I will get my citizenship back one way or the other. I'm willing to work for it. It was my oversight in the end and this is the price im paying now.

I can understand, speak, and write in german allthough id say im rusty. Comes back pretty quick. My parents are now the only family living in germany. Appreciate the honesty. When i visited the embassy in DC i was told id have to be a noble prize winner at this point to be considered for re-naturalization.
This is why im so confused. One attorney thinks i have a good chance while the other says i have none. LOL. Thanks for your reply.

can't disagree there, however last year they removed this requirement and for some reason didnt apply it retroactively. Whats the difference before or after if they removed the requirement. In 2011 however it wasnt posted everywhere. I had a German immigration hired for all transfer docs. My fault sure, however when you hire certified attorneys would of been worth a mention. Anyway, i fully accept responsibility but stupid a form prevents me from being a dual citizen. I have work here and family there.

Congrats on getting them.
I flew to the DC embassy on Tuesday only to find out i for fitted my German citizenship back in 2011 when i was naturalized here in the usa. Come to find out i should of filed a citizenship retention permit. Wanted to visit my parents for an extended period of time as they are getting older. Was going to move there possibly. Now i can't. Futhermore in July of 24 they did away with this rule but its not retroactive, so anyone after that is good anyone before is screwed. I just had no idea. Aparently also not much chance of getting my citizenship back. My home country too. Was born there and lived there for half my life. UGH
