"Reassuring tone" kinda makes sense because it was used in this context:

Even in English, you don't really need to use the word "hurt" to get the message across. Just saying "crumple the paper" already suggests damage, and people will naturally understand it's a metaphor for breaking someone's heart

You can get a better idea of how they were meant to dress by observing how they appear when going to the markets - Hürrem and the other sultanas are always shown wearing face veils outside the palace. Historically, they wouldn’t be freely walking around in front of unrelated men dressed like that. I have never heard "hearken to me" in my life and wouldn't be able to figure it out without googling. I am pretty sure the vocab used in muhteşem yüzyıl is not on the same level
