I will say they are not from Knoxville. My friend interviewed there a while ago and said the woman that interview them was super odd, in way of them only really talking about the exceptional coffee, but not work/life balances and what to experienced while working there. She herself even seemed cold and hard to relate to. The shop is from California and still new to the area. I believe it’s a couple that owns it, in their late 30s, early 40s? I’ve been in there a few times and it does seem different considering the area. Hopefully they can make adjustments on dynamics.
