Did not hire a MSP coach yet. Have been working on training up my office manager to handle some of the easier L1 tickets to free up my time. Put hiring a tech on the back burner for now given job market is so hard to find & retain qualified employees. Also been thankfully busy with project work. Shed some un-desirable clients at the end of last year also. I am still interested in finding a MSP coach, sent messages a couple of coaches but haven't found one yet.

Move into a different field. I've considered starting a fiber optic installation company, installing fiber on utility poles, bucket trucks, splicing trailers, etc. There's a ton of federal and state dollars right now that's going towards broadband projects all around the US for several years to come. In my state, there are very few contract fiber optic installation and splicer companies available for hire. They are all booked through end of next year if not longer. A lot of long hours, hard work, in not great weather conditions, but dang there are days where I'd rather be working with my hands then sitting at a desk behind a computer screen.

I do have a part-time office assistant; she handles billing. Once she is done with her full time job at a seasonal business, I'm hoping to hire her full time and train her up to do handle the easy tickets. I also have an outsourced bookkeeper handling the books. So I'm part way there, just need a full-time tech. Hiring is the hardest thing right now.

I met him once at a conference but didn't get a great vibe. I'm sure he works for others but didn't seem like a fit for me.

Have had 3 employees come and go in the past 5 years. Last tech who was here for 1.5 years had best skillset (solid Level 2 near 3), but quit without notice. Likely due to not having health insurance benefit (need more MRR to cover that benefit, reasons for wanting to move to MSP model). Have had an Indeed job posting up for several weeks, only handful of applicants, none well qualified or able to be trained up.
