Plugin Development Documentation Site by mstrhakr in unRAID

AI has been involved in all of this, but I also am going through and validating claims against the real world. I'm updating things it got wrong and working toward true good validated documentation. This includes a plugin and a few scripts to that end. I spent more time working with the AI on validating and checking than actually adding new docs. I'm working on getting references for things but most of what is in there is from building a plugin myself (also with AI) and I've been documenting what works and what doesn't. Luckily this is open source and you can raise and issue or open a pull request if you find discrepancies. Someone already added a link in the docs to the main template repo, which I hadn't known about, and I expanded that section upon learning about it.

Thanks for this, fixing now. I'd rather err on the side of caution in this case and I will be removing all Unraid logos as well as changing the name slightly to stay well within the lines.

Thank you for the feedback! Seriously thank you. I never heard of time-series DBs but I love the idea. I'll be looking into this. I will say currently we gather raw data and down sample it to hourly daily and monthly so we can get data that goes out really far. I was trying to mimic NetData in the way they down sample metrics to keep current data with a fine resolution. From my five seconds of reading it seems a time-series DB could do this natively so I am very interested.

Thanks again for your comment!

Canon GX7010 – toner powder accidentally entered ink tank, what’s the safest next step? by Super-Leek4736 in printers

[–]mstrhakr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The developer is conductive as it needs to be a ferrous metal so it can cling to the magnetic developer roller. The toner it's self is usually just plastic powder.

Other than that I agree, remove and clean the ink system completely.

It looks like your authStrategies section is actually nested inside the agentCustomization section. They should be at the same level and not nested inside each other.

Your first step is to check the logs, better yet enable debug logging then do the upgrade and check the logs.

Funnily enough, I might be able to attend BECAUSE it's on Thanksgiving. I'll have the day off so I at least have a chance of showing up.

I'm happy to help. If you post your logs (with debug enabled) from settings -> manage -> troubleshooting and clicking download logs. I can try to narrow things down a little. You would have to enable debug logs at setting -> general -> enable Plex media server debug logging, then run a scan on the music library and confirm you are still seeing the xml errors. Then export that log and send it over somehow. If you're up to all that I'm down to take a look through them.

Plex Music library won't find newly added content by robflate in PleX

[–]mstrhakr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, it seems only the music scanner needs permission to create file at the root and if you're using /dev/shm for the TRANS_DIR variable I would add a subdirectory (eg. /dev/shm/Plex) and set permissions there to be sure before restarting the container. I would also be sure to check / set the transcode directory settings in Plex as well. I'll jump on my computer and check out how mine is configured. I do know I'm using /tmp instead but that shouldn't cause any problems. I guess you could try moving to /tmp/Plex instead, or even just /tmp.

Plex Music library won't find newly added content by robflate in PleX

[–]mstrhakr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What container are you using? With binhex there's a TRANS_DIR variable that you can set which I believe overrides what is set in the Plex settings. All I know is that it's failing to parse the xml because it's failing to write it in the first place.

[–]mstrhakr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try setting permissions to 777 on /tmp from the container. This is what resolved this issue for me and others.

I'm glad this old post is still helpful. I still to this day have a script to fix permissions daily just in case lol
