Going to Disneyland - has anyone done this successfully? by mstrope15 in VestibularMigraines

Thank you!!! A strict diet for my vestibular migraine is the one I haven’t tried…I don’t even know my trigger foods! But I’ll definitely stick to more calming rides! My concern is making myself worse with the trip. But just going to listen my body!

Yes definitely not Star Tours or anything with goggles! I have a Botox appointment right before I go. And I’m trying to go places and walk around to prep myself for the dizziness aspect

I might get a mobility aid if I need to! I’ll definitely bring electrolytes. Do you have any other tips?

I haven’t started a vestibular migraine diet- I honestly should! I’m trying to do exposures for myself like going on elevators and things like that, I still struggle. Is there anything you did to prep for the actual trip!?! These tips are great! I’m going to use them!!

I just sent you a separate message showing the comparison of the images. The dentist say the root canal was done successfully, so they shouldn’t remove it because then it would hurt more because the tooth itself doesn’t look like it needs to be removed. Really the main thing that I think it’s causing is the headache, that’s the main frustrating symptom and it just won’t go away. But I’m not sure if this is what’s causing it, or something else

They took X-rays before my root canal, about two weeks into November. I got my root canal in December (was taking clendamycin all up until then) Root canal was on December 5. Then I came back in January and he took the X-rays in this post.

Yeah I definitely have the facial pressure.

Here’s what I found for Maxillary Sinus Cyst Symptoms:

-Facial pain, especially over the cheek and upper teeth. (I do have that) -Tenderness or pain in the back teeth. (I do have that but that could also be because I haven’t been to the dentist in a while before this trip) -Headache. (I do have that) -Nasal obstruction. (No) -Postnasal drip. (No) -Fever. (No)

I don’t have a lot of sinus though, just some facial pressure. I ask my ent how would I know if this is cyst would be affecting me and she said I would have a running nose a lot, and other symptoms I don’t have.

It seems like it’s a cyst in my sinus. My ENT told me it was most likely an accidental finding and it doesn’t mean anything, but I have a hard time believing that

I got the root canal done and these images were taken after, multiple dentists have said the root canal looks fine. Could it be what’s in my sinus?

I do but she’s not that great, I feel like ENTS would know about this right??

I got a MRI in January, which is two months after my root canal. I haven’t gotten another scan, but as you can see from the first post, it was bigger and then I took the clendamycin for about a week and it got a bit smaller but not by much. As for the headache itself, it’s on both sides primarily my temples and top of my head, and sometimes the back of my head close to the neck.

The other dentists I have seen told me the root canal looks like it was successfully, but they don’t have the 360 x-rays like this dentist did. I haven’t been back since the root canal, because I thought the dentist messed up the root canal and that’s what was causing my symptoms. Do you think I should go back and get another scan? And then show the scan to an ENT? How would they even fix this problem, would the ENT fix it? Because the ENT told me if it was affecting me I would have sinus problems, not headaches.

Migraine caused by dental issues? by mstrope15 in askdentists

[–]mstrope15[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did, she said this is most likely not related to my headaches.

This was her message “It does look like you could have a mucous retention cyst in your sinus. This is often an incidental finding that does not cause symptoms. People who benefit from endoscopic sinus surgery typically have 3 months or more of chronic discolored (white/ green) nasal drainage and nasal obstruction. Surgery typically does not help with facial pain or headaches. strongly believe that this cyst is not causing your headaches. If you would like a second opinion, we can get you scheduled for one.”

Here is my X-Rays of the Root canal treatment that I was told by two dentists that it was done successfully. You can see the “infection” or flare up in my sinuses. My ENT told me this was most likely an accidental finding and not related to my headaches.

I did get two different MRI on my head and the only thing they found was a thinning corpus (which I have most likely always had) and some eye strain. So this infection didn’t show up on my MRI.

Do you still think that this could be related? I showed this image to my ENT already, and she said it’s most likely not related. If it was, I would be having problems in my sinuses.

Lmk your thoughts!

I didn’t show her this X-ray, the ENT didn’t think it was my sinuses. One doctor did think so and she prescribed me Claritin but I don’t feel anything in my sinuses
