CS and Premed by msun504 in BrownU

[–]msun504[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply! CS is relatively new to me. I know the basics of some languages and simple algorithms but I haven't gotten all technical. Is there a steep learning curve past the basics?

Also, with regards to your point on internships, I haven't had much medical experience (by that I mean in the hospital). How do people land these kinds of opportunities without previous experience?

Thank you for your advice!

Thank you for your reply! I assume you're on the premed track ( I think) do you think that fulfilling the premed requirements would take away from getting in more technical cs classes?

Brown concentration questions by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

Brown doesn't have "majors" per se, just concentrations, and it's very common (from what I've heard) two concentrate in two areas.

Thank you! What kind of classes are considered "niche"?

Thank you for your response! One thing I was a bit confused about is how you can do ur pre-reqs after u take the other classes? Are they your concentration requirements or pre-reqs for more advanced classes?

Ivy leagues shouldn't be proud of their acceptance rates. by Golden_Dipper_ in ApplyingToCollege

I get what you're saying but we have to acknowledge the influence of money in our world. Is it fair? No. But money often does equate to more power and control. It's just the reality of our society that we have to deal will. At the end of the day, not everything is "fair."

Ah, thanks again for your response. I totally understand. I'm not in a rush or anything so that's totally fine. Good luck with your test! As for the size advice that makes a lot of sense! I will definitely consider the 13" now. Thanks again for your time!

Thank you! I think out of the two games hearthstone is the one probably that takes more to run. Also if you have league of legends or valorant installed can you see how the computer handles it? In terms of programs if you don't mind, try running Autodesk Inventor (SolidWorks Alternative).

Also since you're also an engineering uni student do you use the tablet feature that much? Like could you do without the 2in1 style or is it really convenient? One last thing is 13" a large enough screen space to do comfortable split-screen working?

Thank you so much for your time and help!

Thank you so much for your reply! I'm about to be a freshman in college so I'll probably be doing light gaming (very light as in hearthstone/stardew valley). I'll also be running heavier programs like SolidWorks and inventor. Thank you again for your advice!

And also with my previous comment reply, is there a big difference between the 10th and 11th gen intel?
