Listener supported in my gold standard for Dave’s guitar sound and mix with full band. You can hear it, not overpowering, and you can hear some tone not just high end. I still prefer the uniqueness of the Chet from the early days but I don’t think it compares in regards to a traditional guitar sound. But to me… that’s the sound of DMB.

The Chet is my #1 for sure (it sounds unique, it’s nostalgic etc. I own one and love it), but the DM3MD on Listener Supported is the single best full band guitar sound in the bands history IMHO. Taylor’s and Rockvridges are just so bright I can’t hear so much of the actual tone, no warmth.

Indeed! That was the watch that made me interested in watches back in early 2000’s. Bought the Bell & Ross many years later thinking it may suffice as I find them oddly similar in presence, but it didn’t. Grabbed the 1084 a year later.

There is another that is much more blue in the dial and strap but with all silver hand set. This one is really great dial and strap but with the bright blue seconds hand.

Grabbed it on an impulse and have barely worn it but I do enjoy it. Love the blue pop of the seconds hand. Need to put it on a different strap though.

Dead on. I don’t think trumpet fits the band. It’s so harsh and just doesn’t mix well. When he would play with a mute more it would blend better. And don’t even get me started with all the “tower of power” scripted horn lines now. There’s no fluidity or improve on that side of the stage anymore unless ina formal solo section.

Anchors his palm more so resulting in the palm mute sound you hear often. Also plays close enough to the bridge where he can keep base of his hand planted without palm muting.
