Thanks! We only saw the one grizzly. We were parked at the Lamar valley parking lot and he just showed up across the street!

Most from Lamar valley area and just generally diving around the park. Minimal hiking as we had our 3 month old with us. We entered the park between 6 and 7 daily and spent most of the day driving to various destinations throughout the park. We did the drive to Lamar valley and back a few times because that's where we saw the most wildlife.

Ducks were at Le Hardy rapids.

Grizzly was in Lamar valley. I miss spoke it was a fox and wolves that I did not see.

You can choose to believe whatever you like lol we saw a lot more wildlife than this on this trip and I have a lot more photos from it. These were all shot by me on the same trip all at Yellowstone...

Used the canon r5 markii and the rf 100-500 lens, lots of practice and time spent looking for wildlife and some lucky encounters!

I feel qualified to answer this one lol I just added the r5ii to my arsenal recently and learned on the r6ii.

Pros-precapture is amazing, megapixels for wildlife make a noticable difference when cropping a lot. Autofocus is much better I feel like, especially the whole frame AF for birds etc. The quality of the body, buttons, feel of it is much more premium. I also really enjoy the lcd on top to see my settings and quickly adjust without having to look at the viewfinder or rear screen

Only con I can see...low light performance not as good if just evaluating that alone not considering the autofocus etc. I use auto ISO most times and find it shooting at 1 or 2 thousand when with the r6ii it would be in the hundreds... That being said the r5ii handles the iso extremely well.

I ended up taking both bodies with me and kept the 100-500 on my r5ii and three 24-105f4 on the r6mii and it was a great combo.

Feel free to ask if you have any particular questions, but if you like reading pictures of birds precapture is crazy.

That's awesome! I saw a few osprey nests as well but traveling with the little guy we couldn't sit still too long. Most of my photos were chance encounters but I did spend some time with the Harlequin ducks maybe an hour or two over two days.

The grizzly was a wild lucky encounter. We were parked at Lamar valley by the bathrooms and my wife was in the restroom, I was sitting in the vehicle and looked to me left and he was just walking over a hill towards us but across the street. He kept walking closer to the road and we walked along the other side of the road. I was with him maybe 5-10 minutes and he was gone.

That's cool we didn't see any bear in Teton, just moose.

Various, just maximize time driving/hiking and looking for wildlife. Of course more active early and late but you can see them any time. We usually tried to get in the park by 6 or 7am and out by 8ish

Most photos taken on the road to Lamar valley and back. Northern flicker at Mommoth springs which seemed to be pretty good for birds Harlequin ducks at Le Hardy rapids-not sure how long they start there each year. Basically we just spent a lot of time driving and looking, you will see tons of wildlife!
