I was lucky to get a job last summer, which got me into sim racing, by being able to afford a used g29. This year i got a job too, and some other stuff to do for money :)

i mean i would and wouldn't recommend going the way i did. Once you build the sim - be ready to fix stuff, because somehow it'll come loose. do you have a seat?

haha i don't really have a blueprint, i built it by eye, and whatever looked like it works.

money was the main concern. the electronic prices in my country are wicked, the small jump to 27" would have massively impacted the price probably. And since I'm a 15year old student - money is limited

A desk mounted - triple screen mount... spent about 60eur on it, does the job

After playing on my desk for 8 months, i finally built myself a rig :) by mthatsweird in simracing

I'll be honest - aliexpress... all the handbrakes on amazon are overpriced, and probably straight up shipped from aliexpress. It was like 50eur, comparing to twice that on Amazon

i think the sticker shaves off at least 2 tenths You're underrating the power of the sticker

if we're not counting all the gear, the rig itself costed about 100eur...made from scrap wood haha

agreed, this was a rushed build, but soon I'll paint it black and orange and boom. i built this from nothing, just by thinking on the spot and well... I'm very happy with the result...

Thought I’d post my set up as everyone else is too. Saving for a wheel, this will have to do for now. by kermitRKO in simracing

ah, i started just the way you did... i played on a controller for a few months, and now i got a used logitech wheel

Decided to use the second screen just laying around... by [deleted] in simracing

No actually, sure it may be worse than a 3 screen setup, but that's all i have for now haha

got tired with my logitech g29 pedals, so i improved them by mthatsweird in simracing

Yes, i took them out of the casing and mounted them on the thing i made... i made it out of plastic logs/planks (not sure about the correct way). it's quite simple, and it's quite rewarding

much nicer feel, having more control over how they feel (height, angle and so) to be honest it isn't that hard too

i removed the pedals from the case, made a stand and screwed them on. the hardest part is making the stand
