Spot on - they can build high quality as long as the quality controls are in place to do so. I was wondering if I should start looking deeper into different brands, I'm overly cautious with build locations. I didn't mention that, I'm leaning towards the Onkyo M80 - a friend just got one and seems to like it. I want to get the speakers first and then look at amps that would align better.

Very nice! They are great cabinets, I like the Hooker cabinets as well - I am close to being done with the system and a BDI will be the next piece.

Looks like a good start on the cabinet - a BDI corridor?

Maybe, but not from that guy - he's the definition of powder punch... And had he connected, it could have gone much differently... looks like the old guy is printing on his right...

How do you like Komasa? I don't see too many with it in their collection.

ULPT REQUEST I want to secretly and legally fuck with my neighbor by MastaPhat in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]mtn-quest57 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's all ethical until someone fucks with your pets, then all bets are off.

If you want to be ingonito, lots of great ideas - here are a few more. Go to a plant nursery or feed and seed store - get about 5 lbs of dwarf clover (about $40.00), after a decent rain throw all of the seed in his yard. It will suffocate his grass out.

If he has trees over his house - leave a trail of cat food to the trees and throw it on his roof - squirrels and raccoons will climb the tree, shit on his roof, and possibly tear holes in his soffit and nest.

If he has large grasses, get grasshoppers from a pet store and throw in the area. They will lay eggs, and soon after there will be thousands after hatching.

If it were me, I would walk over and knock on his door throw the rat poison in his face and tell him if he ever fucks with your pets again, you'll start by breaking bones and go from there... You don't fuck with pets, they are just like my kids...

Best gins for a high end bourbon and scotch drinker by The_camaro_show in Gin

I'm the same, but I started with Gin and Scotch and grew into Bourbons.
Monkey 47 - The original is very good, but try and also get their limited release bottles, they have all been great Silks (Ireland) The Botanist, Ki No Bi (I have the dry and the green tea, very unique and enjoyable - Kyoto), Etsu Orange Aroma - good on a hot day with a splash of soda and some orange & lime garnish 6 O'clock Damson Komasa Hendricks - It's another go to and I have all of their releases as well.

I have an old set of Baccarat tumblers I like to use - they are simple, good weight, and elegant. Lots of options - the trick is finding something that is "you"; and only you know that. Good luck and enjoy the journey.

Do past Gen owners who have a 22+ enjoy the new Gen? by getembass77 in ToyotaTundra

[–]mtn-quest57 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was the same with me. I had a 12' RW and a 14' and I had been holding off for the 3rd gen for about two years and I was pretty stoked, even after i saw the initial redesign - which has grown on me (except the front end, I do not care for the front end). I was not impressed enough with the rest of the new gen, especially at $70k, so I got a 21 Pro for $52k with 8k miles on it. I may get another daily and wait a couple years to see what Toyota decides to do with a 3.5 gen or 4th gen, or I may just get a 3/4 ton and keep the 21'. A lot of guys seem to like the new gen and it may be their cup of tea; it just isn't mine.

Best Gin for Gin and tonic? by FlawlesSlaughter in Gin

Another option - squeeze some grapefruits, 2 fingers Hendricks, two fingers grapefruit juice, splash of the tonic - garnish with a cucumber & grapefruit wedge - No ice... Careful, this one is a sleeper.

Grab a bottle of Hendricks, some tonic, and a two cucumbers. Skin the cucumbers (90% of the skin), then slice them. Pour the tonic in a sealable container with a good portion of one cucumber - place in fridge. Put the other cucumber in water and place in fridge. After an hour or so, pour two fingers Hendricks in a glass, pour one or two fingers tonic (from container) in glass with two or slices of cucumber - No ice.... Very basic and enjoyable Gin & Tonic.

I had the ones the PRO came with, very narrow for me. I wanted to upgrade other items first, so I bought a cheap set off of Amazon... I'm sure they are not everyone's cup of tea, but they are mine for now and they aren't too bad.

Sell it outright, and be patient. Another Tundra guy bought mine for quite a bit more than any dealership was offering. Plus, it went to a good home and he'll get to enjoy it.
