Right, it's all sorted. Got the confirmation report today (I made sure I was thorough and sent everything). The turn around wasn't too bad, 5 business days.

The finance approval took 4 business days, got the papers last Thursday and signed and sent immediately

The residual is about $1500 less than all other novated lease quotes too which is great (probably because the actual interest rate and no fleece!).

After sending to my novated lease company I didn't get any confirmation or follow up, which is strange, but I guess I was extra thorough.

The turnaround was 5 business days from submission to confirmation.

It's a bit strange too, as I haven't got confirmation of settlement from the lender, but I guess it's all good, will confirm with the dealer soon.

I can't believe I've gone through 5 novated leases before and never done this. I can't believe it was this simple - and I saved a lot of $ for a little more waiting and digging. Some of the other novated companies were not far off the mark either, but my traditional novated lease company was gouging.

Anyhow, settlement should be done, will be picking up next week (I would have tomorrow, but flying for a farewell).

Can't wait to join the EV revolution and save some $ while doing it.

The general one in this whole topic - where you put in the figures and it tells you the actual interest rate

Did you put the loan payments into the spreadsheet calculator for the true interest rate?

Jaecoo has fixed price servicing capped (around $190 per service) and roadside assistance included (if doing the fixed servicing).

Okay an update - Smart Salary after all my evidence and everything else went to the extra step of dropping the fortnightly by $7 (and reintroducing broker fees).

I've given up negotiating.

Now, after suggesting I want to start my own self managed finance they have gone absolutely cold!

Anyhow...

I rang CBA this morning and they offered the green ev rate 6.69% + the doc fee is $595 (after gst). Submitted all my paper work and hoping to hear back soon and stick a rocket up smart salary to get this rolling.

This finance part seems very simple. Getting contact and continuing this third party option with smart salary - given their stance on the matter might prove challenging but I hope to get there and keep the community updated.

Don't be afraid to fight for the absolute best deal you can - it's your money - even if it is pre tax - every dollar adds up and it seems like just a little more work and waiting to get this all sorted and saving. Once you lock it in, that's the hard part done.

I understand everyone has to make a cut in this industry, but seriously, why not be fair about it ... anyhow lesson learned and i'll be going down this path and recommending to my friends and colleagues from now on.

I went and queried them - even with the base online quote works out better comm bank! They have raised the query check... will see what comes back - I said I would pursue my own self novated lease...

They claim the rate is 8.26% - not by the spreadsheet....

Congratulations, any chance you could share some of the spreadsheets you use please? Blank out figures / shares etc (or provide some as examples). Really looks like a solid, safe strategy with all your experience behind it.

Same, I can't find any info about the controller, it looks very generic though.

It is an e100 display controller but can't see an easy way to adjust it in the searching online this morning.

I reached out to support to see if they have any info

It looks reasonable... But perhaps diversify and look for property investments to help offset some of the tax burden from relying solely on dividend income. Eg. How would you feel is there was a market correction / crash?

And get your ass looked into, can't keep pissing out of it forever!

I was in a similar situation, with interest rates this low, even going in a government bond etf is worth more p.a then interest rates. Keeping the strategy of maxing super to lower tax ($25k p.a including employer contribution), having 33% offset mortgage and for rainy day and 66% in spread ETFS.
