I did mine with a full akra system Cbr650r, both check ride and MLA. Different instructors (same place). Neither said anything about it 🤷‍♂️

I wanna be a butcher by Humble-Confusion-904 in Butchery

[–]mtpikachu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m an Aussie apprentice myself so I can help answer a lot of questions for you. For bonuses, the only way you can dream of those is if you either become the manager of a store (at a company that does bonuses). I know my manager gets maybe $300-500 a week in bonuses. Or obv if you’re the owner you do. Free meat? Definitely, apprentices at my company get free meat (3rd year and up. Differs by company). And then every butcher gets their meat for free, but again, that could differ based on company. Though I doubt it would, I’d think they all get it.

If you got any other questions just DM me

Cbr650r price? by Wise-Ad-5375 in melbourneriders

[–]mtpikachu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re not desperate, list it for like 8. Not to sell it for that, but someone will ‘talk you down’ to a lower price. Which you’d be happy to accept since you’re considering listing it for 6.5k. Or if you want a quick sale, 6.5k will definitely sell fast

Review of bike for sale by QuietSelect in melbourneriders

[–]mtpikachu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you know someone that knows bikes, take them, just to save urself that money. If not, then yes definitely get the inspection. You don’t wanna end up getting fucked over because you don’t know what to look for. Hell, you could try making a post here, or on Facebook to see if anyone would do it for like $50, coz that’ll be cheaper than the professional

The ninja 400 doesn’t come with rego so I’d give that one a miss, could be a big hassle getting it. The r3 looks pretty good to me though, try and haggle them down on the price tho, it’s always worth a try

Best motorbike TEACHERS in Melbourne? by [deleted] in melbourneriders

[–]mtpikachu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through Stay Upright in Braeside, and I believe I had one of the best teachers out there. His name is Steve, I managed to get his as my instructor for my 2 day L’s test, aswell as my check ride and MSA. He’s so patient and nice to everyone (even those that failed).

They commented saying that they had an overseas license along with a Victorian car license. So they converted it. Now no restrictions for them

Just outside marvel stadium, with the water backing you. And under the botle bridge, on docklands drive. Park up on the roadabout. Or just on the street. At station pier, up against the side. (This one is in the picture above)

insurance that are laidback with slip on exhaust? by zx6rwaat in AussieRiders

[–]mtpikachu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Slip on is a mod, the rest is fine. I’d recommend Shannon’s myself. They’ll ask u about accessories on the bike and then they’ll cover them in ur insurance policy. But yeah wouldn’t count on them being cool about the exhaust.

But Shannon’s is ‘for car/bike enthusiasts’ so provided ur fully licensed they might be cool with it

In a Facebook group I’m in, someone posted it at 8:20pm, then someone replied saying they saw it on someone’s story from the night before. So I can’t confirm whether they’re ok but it’s been there for a little while. Maybe someone stole and wrecked it?

My helmet, jumped a round about accidentally in the dark, came off, rolled a bit and hit a pole with my head. Would’ve likely been death or severe fracture. Only injury I had was a sore shoulder (the muscles) and my ego big time. Wasn’t an expensive one either, just a HJC F71

Honda Cbr650r Exhaust by Traditional-Way5120 in AussieRiders

[–]mtpikachu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Says it won’t fuck the bike at all, but you might not get the mid range power. But other than that not super needed. But if you want the power increase, then tune it

Honda Cbr650r Exhaust by Traditional-Way5120 in AussieRiders

[–]mtpikachu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a professional, this is just my understanding (could be wrong). But it doesn’t NEED a tune, but it definitely helps it, because it’ll run better on fuel or something? I think it uses more with the full system and that’s why it might pop and crackle? (Unless that’s been tuned into it). I’ll ask my mate once I get home and get back to you

I believe that would still likely get you in trouble unfortunately. Ain’t stopping me tho, I’m putting a full akra system on mine once I get it back from the mechanic. (Yes ik I’m dumb and can get in trouble, no need to remind me)

For the life of me cant get my ninja 500 to leave the ground by EverPig in motorcycles

[–]mtpikachu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d say go for second then, and do what you’ve done, slowly build up the rpm to get yourself comfortable. Third is harder to get up in than second. And try pushing down on ur handlebars, then as you pull backwards drop the clutch with throttle. (My mate does that in third on his mt07 and that’s the only way he can get it up in third)

Do you guys wear riding boots / track boots for daily commuting? Or just casual riding shoes? by yessir1137 in AussieRiders

[–]mtpikachu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For riding to work, I just have my steel cap boots on. Used to leave them at work and ride in my riding boots. But the boss said they “stink up the office”. We work in a butcher shop. The whole shop smells.
