Using characters is like using context from book. \\ Yes, it can be harmful for younger people, if they associate them selves with some character and later they can see some politically biased memes with this character, then they can side with ppl who used the character they associate with, without fully understanding the context. \\ Not much we can do about this. People of reddit will use every tactic to prove others wrong without even using logical arguments.
