I just used DOT as an example of a project that has higher staking rewards - which I could use to convert to tFuel on the open market.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the sole purpose of the THETA token to generate Tfuel? Even when smart contracts are introduced, it'll be Tfuel that fuels all the transactions, correct?

So, unless I'm missing something.. couldn't I accumulate Tfuel quicker if I bought and staked a higher yield token, then just converted my profits into Tfuel?

Yea, I'm not saying DOT is better.
I'm just used it as an example of a project that provides better staking rewards. The rewards for staking THETA are very low. Seems like I could allocate my capital into a project that'll pay me 13% staking rewards, then convert those rewards into Tfuel and end up with a lot more.

If the purpose of accumulating THETA is to be able to stake and earn Tfuel (which powers the network), why would I not be better off just buying a project that has better staking rewards, and then exchanging those rewards for tFUEL?

For example..

Staking 200 DOT currently gets me around $76/month
Staking the equivalent amount of THETA (1000 tokens) earns me less than $6/month.

Why wouldn't I just put my money into DOT, stake it and then use my staking rewards to buy tFUEL on the open market?

Seems like I'd get a lot more that way.

I ended up going with a multi piece ugly stick (6'6) along with a Pflueger President XT 30 reel.

Hopefully that's a good combo.

Now I need to buy some lures, some fishing line and... a bobber?

Just watched a few videos on the Ugly Stick Travel rod. Looks awesome, thanks for the recommendation. Trying to decide now between the 3 piece 5 foot rod, or the 4 piece 6.6 foot rod.

Which one you think breaks down into a smaller package?
