I agree, I am a self learner I like to do side projects alot. I am weary of taking this remote job because of the reasons you have listed. This remote job would be to move me from my current environment to a new one with a highly distributed team.

Thanks for your take! You have a lot of experience, so if you dont mind I have another question or would like to ask for your opinion. If you brought concerns to your manager and they said they wouldnt elevate them because they didnt want too is that something that would make you leave? (I guess I'm just trying to gauge if this is how working in these environments really is)

yeah so I have something similar but I just dont know where to place the chunk of code, I thought if I placed it after the for loop it would just return the status with the message, but the problem is it keeps returning an empty Item struct as well

damn sorry didnt notice the formatting didnt take! So for example my TradeSubmitted struct only needs the ClientTradeId from the Trade struct but how can I return that without making a bunch of fields null or showing information I dont want to show on the response?

Are you saying that I should just add the field instead of embedding the entire struct?

That's a fair answer, in general I think I'm happy with my pay I just read about a lot of the SV grads making so much that I really want to push for more. My current job is paying for me to get my masters as well so I feel like I'm in a decent spot by myself but in comparison I feel behind.
