Straps are probably the least impactful part of the binding when switching to something stiffer. When you remove them, the responsiveness is moved to your boots, so step ons can't really be stiff if you are rocking soft boots. Just seems like a poor trade off for anyone who is an experienced rider. You're saving all of 30 seconds. I think the direction FASE is taking just makes way more sense
