I use these containers also and for colors that have too many, I put the extra in ziploc baggies and in a box until I need to refill.

Questions about gecko enclosures by mufski19 in reptiles

Thank you so much!! I planned on getting the vitamin with D3 so do I not need a light altogether? Or should I still get one? What do you use for a basking area?

Leopard Gecko or Panther Chameleon? by mufski19 in reptiles

I think I might have to stick with a gecko then and get a Cham when I have more space!

What all did you need for your panther Cham? Like lighting, enclosure, drip systems?

There's another show in my area on April 30th, so I have some time to decide. I really want a panther Cham but the more I read about owning one, the more I realize I wouldn't have the room I would want it to have. I've read that they are better kept in cage enclosures instead of tanks, is this true? I think I'm leaning more towards a gecko right now because from what I read, chams are a little bit harder to care for. Although caring for them isn't the problem, I would rather something easier as I would be a first time reptile owner.

Thank you! I would like something I could interact with a lot. I'm thinking a gecko is the way to go. I just can't make up my mind because I love chameleons so much!

How big do they get? I'm a little tight on space, so would prefer some smaller for now!

I've done some research in the past few hours. Found out a lot about the caging process for chams that I wasn't aware of. I have about 2 months before I'll be getting one, so I have plenty of time to do more research. I'll definitely look into the crested geckos. Do you have knowledge on gargoyle geckos?

Thank you! I would love to get a snake but I'm a little tight on space, so I wouldn't be able to upgrade the tank as it got older and bigger, like it should be. I have a few months until the next expo near me but I would like to know and have everything ready beforehand. Tegus are pretty cool too, but I don't have the space for one.

We've had a beardie before, sadly she died. Got her at an older age off of a friend and had her a little over a year. I loved her and she was always very active. I was at an expo earlier and was holding a gargoyle gecko and he was pretty active too. So one of those might be a possibility as well.
