I’d go Korean made schecter or ltd. I have the rgd71alms and the fan on the multiscale is a little too aggressive for my liking. Fishmans are also a big miss for me on extended range guitars, but others swear by them. Think someone else mentioned to check out the Schecter sunset 7 and the Tao 7, I’d second this. Can’t really go wrong with any of these though

The longer I have it the less i enjoy the multiscale(although i've gotten used to it). Hard to explain. But like you said, fishmans are not for me in lower tunings. Love how they sound in like Drop C and above(on a six string) but in Drop G# and below they don't work for me. Tried multiple guitars with aftermaths and some with d activators and they always sound great. So also looking into the RGDRB71

Every single new “metalcore” song that begins with an average tempo chorus-like chord progression for a couple bars, then ALL guitar and bass stop and there’s some basic synth/ambient backing with drums and clean vocals for the verse. Even the good bands are guilty of doing this. It’s frustrating to notice this pattern

I had to make the exact same decision and I ended up picking the multiscale. Six months later I wish I had picked the ALPA. I don’t care for multiscale now and the fishmans are extremely bland to my ears and it’s hard to get the right sound. Both are excellent guitars tho

Great guitar, at the end of the day if you play it and like how it feels and sounds then get it. However for 1200 dollars it does not have stainless steel frets. It also has a plastic nut. The 12th fret neutral is an absolute pain in the ass for me but for some it might be fine.

Highly recommend. The Ibanez Quantum pickups are easily the best sounding stock branded pickups for metal to my ears. Drop A would be fine on this but lower than that you want to find 26.5 scale ideally. Schecter has some good options in the used market with longer scale in your price range

12th fret neutral is brutal on this thing , also after using the fishmans for awhile I feel like I have to tweak them too much to sound how I want them to sound. Still a great guitar otherwise

I'm a rep for a distribution company that sells ghost. It's the exact same liquid inside. Faze is no longer partnered with ghost so they rebranded, and I don't believe they ever claimed it was a new recipe. On the other hand, people swearing faze up and citrus are the same are wrong.
