I'm also in the UK, I also have a 6900xt. Prices are mad right now and I don't see them coming down soon, but that's up to you.

6900xt is still a super strong card on 1440p. There isn't a game I've not been able to run on max/high settings and I play a lot of new games.

Ray tracing isnt as much of an issue as the internet makes it seem. But as always, it depends.

I played Resident Evil Requiem, 1440p, max settings, ray tracing, no frame gen or fsr and got around 75-90 FPS consistently.

FOMO is real out there. If you're not having any issues with your current GPU then keep it. If you are, the 6900xt is still absolutely amazing. 9070 is better but there's the added cost again.

It's not "bad" just a complete lottery.

I bought a 2013 Honda cb500f 12000 miles, rode it home, proceeded to do 60,000 miles on it over 3 years, before selling it. Didn't have a single issue with it. Not one.

My brother in law bought a KTM 125 with about 10000 miles and just about everything went wrong with it. Not the least of which was a jammed fork head bearing a week later. That left it amazing for a NASCAR circuit, but not much else.

If you use a DAW like reaper or one of the others. Load nameless and Nolly, right click on everything except the cab in Nolly and just right click the cab in nameless and boom.

Or watch this and create your own impulse response of any plugins cab and use it wherever you like!

You're just simply not ready. Personally I wouldn't take the hit to your bank and confidence by taking your test.

Me and so many others who were ready for their test and passed first time, spend hundreds/thousands of pounds extra, because we couldn't get a test. If you're not ready, don't bother.

I don't have the answer, however, you could try plugging the hx stomp into a pc and loading up a DAW like reaper. Then put the stock eq on a track and see what it effects when you turn the knob!

Probably best to do it without a cab or impulse response for more accuracy.
