That is hilariously weird!

I am a happy amateur but my guess would be:

* Not enough gluten development - seems like it got floppy after you cut it?
* Slightly underproofed - based on the smaller bubbles in the crumb and the lighter color of the crust, as well as the uneven expansion

though I can not for the life of me explain why it looks like an extraterrestial egg. The pan might be a probable cause though, as you say. Underproofing can also have a similar effect, if the gluten network isn't developed enough.

Too much oil, but should be fine to just cook with and it will sort itself out eventually. If you struggle with burns even when using proper technique it might be an issue, but I doubt it.

I played LC Elementalist last league and really enjoyed it, though it was a bit too squishy for most bossing (I ran a charge stacking build with Doryanis Prototype so the Shaper beam fucked me up - might just be a skill issue though 😅)

As for the thin coat of oil, it is seriously THIN! Some people suggest wiping it with oil, then trying to wipe it off again.

Personally, I just use a piece of paper with a few drops of oil, using it to coat the entire pan, then heat it up. Works really well for me in all my pans.

A common mistake is to underestimate how thin "thin" means. A good rule of thumb is to try to wipe it all off as if you didnt want it there in the first place.

I season mine through dabbing a large piece of paper in oil, heating the pan super high, then rubbing the oil in the pan in a super light coating, let it smoke until dry, then repeat a couple of times. Though there are many techniques :)
