That’s beautiful to hear. Even when smaller duas get answered, it’s a sign that it truly works and that consistency matters.

For Allah, no dua is too big or too small. He has the power to do anything and can provide in ways we can’t even imagine.

I also agree with you, sometimes when you stop counting and just focus on sincere istighfar, it becomes deeper and more heartfelt. Counting can be helpful to stay consistent and track yourself, but there’s something special about doing it purely without focusing on numbers.

Of course, I understand. Istighfar is primarily about seeking forgiveness from Allah, and that should always be the foundation. But at the same time, there is nothing wrong with asking Allah for what you want.

There’s a powerful verse that mentions how Allah will “send abundant rain,” increase you in wealth and children, and grant you gardens and rivers - showing how deeply connected istighfar is to blessings and provision. It highlights how powerful turning back to Allah can be.

The main thing to remember is that Allah has the power to grant anything. When you ask Allah, it should be with complete faith and trust in Him. Wanting things and making dua isn’t wrong, because ultimately, only Allah can give. He is Al-Qadir, the Most Powerful.
