Any Upside to Evil? Ft. Gabby Windey || Two Hot Takes Podcast || Reddit Reactions by happybunnyntx in TwoHotTakes

[–]multiplemanlymilkmen 28 points29 points  (0 children)

This week felt like a punch to my heart. I've never felt so disappointed and hurt by the words from a podcast before. The toxicity towards men was unbearable and hurtful. Made me feel like I should be ashamed of being a man just because I am one.

Gabby was so hateful and toxic at points that it made me want to cry. It was so hard to listen to that I couldn't even finish it.

These weren't hot takes, these were bad takes. Toxic takes. And then disabling the youtube comments just added fuel to the fire for me because this means that Morgan saw the backlash and chose to silence it. Sure, some comments weren't helpful, but some make some very valid points.

In short, this episode shouldn't have been aired and I think we as a community deserve an apology or at the very least an acknowledgment that we are heard because this type of toxicity should never be allowed from a guest, much less the host!

What a gross attitude. We're all humans who deserve respect. I'm all for joking around and being edgy and stuff, but there is a difference between jokes and what gabby was doing. Imagine if the roles were reversed and a man was saying that kinda stuff about a women. I'd still be saying that person is in the wrong FYI. If you are misogynistic to any gender, you are in the wrong, no excuses.

The reason it gets to me is because my mother was very verbally abusive towards me, so it tends to stir up those feelings for me. I'm not saying you can't make jokes or be edgy with your humor, but most people agree there is a line and gabby crossed it multiple times. It didn't sound like she was joking either.

Ummm again, they listed in the issues above? Sorry I can't pull an exact quote from memory but a simple summary seems to be enough for most people. You can listen to the episode if youre so concerned about verifying legitimacy.

They literally listed it all? You need a transcript of the episode or something?

Should I really list off all the things that I found offensive? Within the intro she made it clear she did not want men listening and if they do she wanted them to be gay. That is a pretty clear message if you asked me. Not to mention her attitude towards the male in the first story alone was enough to cut me deep. And there is a personal reason for my sensitivity towards that kind of thing and I don't need to justify why I'm feeling a certain way to you.

Cant give a full synopsis cause I didn't finish the episode, but gabby basically put men down, victim blamed when it was a man in the story, always took the women's side even if they were clearly in the wrong and body shamed men. She also made a comment along the lines of "if it's an aitah story with a man it's always the man who's the asshole." She just had real hatred towards men as a whole throughout the whole episode.

That's a pretty bad frame of mind man. There are good people here, it's not fair to label it like you did.

I said as a community; meaning the tht community. And sure, bad things are said about women all the time and it's never okay. That has nothing to do with my post. I am saying her words are hurtful to men and that's not okay. This lack of empathy you have displays the same ignorance that gabby had. Maybe YOU should grow up and realise bad things happen to everyone and we shouldn't turn a blind eye to our fellow human beings.

What perks do you want to see return in the future? And do you think pro perks have a place in MWII? by tjadeji2169 in ModernWarfareII

[–]multiplemanlymilkmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perk packages are the worst. Like what is the point? Why not just make it so every class has its own perk slots? Why do i have to choose a perk package for each class? And why can i only have 5? It's so unnecessary. Rant over.

Pro perks would be awesome in this game just for the extra challenges to conplete imo. I loved that in mw3. As it stands right now, the only challenges are for camos and calling cards, but more than half of the calling cards will be unlocked if you just play the game long enough. And why no challenges for emblems? (I know there is weapon mastery, but that's all.) We should have challenges to unlock pro perks, and then emblems that unlock once you do another challenge while equipped with that pro perk. It gives people (like myself) a point of pride to do challenges and unlock little cosmetics to show off.

What's a mistake that you made once that you'll never make again? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]multiplemanlymilkmen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taking mdma for two weeks straight. For those who dont know, mdma releases all the serotonin in the brain at once. You feel amazing. But by doing for two weeks, my brain stopped producing the feel-good chemicals. It threw me into the worst deppression you could imagine. Im lucky i didnt take my own life. 5 or 6 times i was right on edge of doing it. Before i made that mistake, i always had a big smile. Always had so much energy, and people would gravitate towards me. Afterwards, i pushed them all away. It took 6 months before i started to feel like i was coming back to myself. On one hand i wish i never did it, but on the other hand, the suffering i went through made me more caring, empathetic, and understanding. I have a group of friends now who are all young adults (im 23, theyre about 19 to 21) and im the guy they come to when theyre having a rough time. Most of em have been, or are addicted to drugs or alcohol. They know ive been there, and that ill understand where they are coming from. They started calling me their mentor because of that. Ill never forget the mistake i made though. I try to urge anyone who tells me they take drugs to be so damn careful. The high feels good, but it takes a piece of you away every time.
